Sz, 18 Apr 2011Ok, am planning to buy this phone soon. i know its been th... moreit is a great phone. I have brought this recently. Tough it was launched 1 year back till i have not seen any phone near to this. This has style, performance and Lowest SAR ration.I was earlier using X10i used it for almost year back, but have hangling issue with this so changed my set. Speaker quality is better than X10i, ear phone are good, and battery life is Great and a very light phone. You can wait for galaxy S 2 but unless you need 4.3 display and fast processing more than 1 Ghz you can opt for it. As you know speed can only increase the GUI performance till soem extend other wise browsing experiance will not be much change as it depends upon the operator speed.

i need original 'white' battery back panel for my samsung galaxy si9000...samsung says only available for korean SGS...not available in Indian market...anybody knows if i can import it(have tried on ebay,no luck x-/ ) or can i get it in India by any chance??? TIA,cheers :-)

i have just bought the galaxy s and it is better than an iphone 4 because it gives me the value of my money and also can download a many application that i want and its very easy not as the iphone bieng complicated so wud prefer to go in for the galaxy anybody who is thinking of going in for the iphone 4 ..................................

Gingerbread 2.3.3 should be available through Kies over the next few months. If you can't wait that long you can flash the SGS with 2.3.3 available from samfirmwares, and follow the guides at XDA.

Ok, am planning to buy this phone soon.
i know its been there in the market a long time but I still would like to go for this one.
But I would primarily use this phone for internet and music.
though I do have a fair idea how internet works on it could some one please tell me how the quality of the audio is on the headphoners especially; loudspeakers dont matter.

I have installed official Android 2.3.3 using Odin from http://www.samfirmware.com/ and I have rooted and lagfixed, converted to ext4, thanks to Chainfire http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
I now get the quadrant-score 1578 and it feels faster than ever before. :)

Bought Galaxy s before 2 days. its a 16gb model. and some how its running froyo out of the box which is cool :) since i belong to middle east there is not Market app available but i did some hacking and got it working (still its not downloading anything from the market but thats software issue)
so far it has been a very nice experience although its been just few days. i was waiting for arc and Arc got released at the same time with same price but when i looked both and held both of them in my hand. i some how ended up buyin Galaxy s.
its colors are really apealing to the eyes. you woudlnt want to turn ur face away from such cool screen. i read in alot of reviews that plastic back is a finger print magnet plus it gets scratches easily so i bought a silicon case to cover that up. but because of gorilla glass there is no worry about the front :)
camera is good. not the best but its good. sure Arc would be leading all the way in ANDROID world i belive the best camera so far, i saw the poor result of Lg and Atrix.. worst....
I do miss flash. but im so surprised that i have bought approx 1 year old tech but it dosnt feels old in any way.. its super dooper cool. Swype is excellent.. even without swype the keyboard is awesome :) i love typing it since i dont use english much in my texting.
i couldnt figure out PARLINGO so im running ebbudy which is also one of the best IM's out there.
2 thins i really miss in this beauty is.. Flash and Indicator light like what we have in HTC desire. if u miss a call or sms... Wifi works fast internet speed is really very good. although i do feel little hick ups in the over all browsing function its not 100% smooth it has small hangs here and there but very small and very rare.
I must say that this 2010 Cell phone is no doubt still 2011 proof :) Dual cores are the hot cake of this year but sure it will take time for there prices to settle down upto next year as at that time everyone will be looking for quad core phones :) but since then i am feeling very happy and cofident about my decision :) i will use it upto it lasts itself :) i wont be changing it for a dual core for now ,... no way...
just 1 last complain to samsung people.. WHY YOU GUYZ HAVE REMOVED MARKET FROM MIDDLE EAST PHONES.. i mean why ? why why why ? Motorola has it .. HTc has it .. only Samsung and sony lack this funtion i dont know about the new Sony Phones but last year they didnt had any market :@ which sucks big time. whats an android phone without market :|| ????
