Ashmit, 10 Jan 2011I recently got my SGS I9000 international version with Froy... more I use Sennheiser earphones and the bass is tremendous.

I recently got my SGS I9000 international version with Froyo 2.2 pre-installed. when I plugged in ear-phones which came with it, the music quality was Okay but it was lacking bass so I tried changing settings, equalizer, effects, 5.1 Ch everything but nothing enhanced Bass.
I use Power AMP on my other android phone(LG P500) and when I installed same on SGS and increased bass, sound distortion was very high and output was bad and it couldn't produce bass however with same settings sound is great on my LG P500.
I have tried many headsets ans even external amplifier but no good.
As per GSM Arena it has perfect sound quality and I purchased it as my primary use is to listen to music.
Please Help! How can I fix this!

Some of the guys here seem to be very lazy, istead of posting a million times on a million sites that the phone has a lagging problem, go to a modding site and fix the lag

Samsung to Unveil New Galaxy S at Mobile World Congress
The successor to Samsung Electronics' hit Galaxy S smartphone will be released in February.
Samsung announced Monday that it will unveil the device at the 2011 Mobile World Congress, the world's largest mobile communications exhibition, which kicks off in Barcelona on Feb. 14.
The new Galaxy is expected to run Android 2.3 and feature a dual-core processor for much quicker operations. It will also likely include an electronic payment system and gyroscope.

[deleted post]Just install Darky's rom V 8.0 gingerbread edition (android base v 2.3.1) from xda-developers and you'll have complete access to the market. In addition by installing Market Enabler from the market you can fake market of any region and get all the paid apps also.

I got both iPhone 4 and SGS. And both of them are first from each company I have ever used , as earlier I was using htc.
After spending months with each device, I would say that it depends what is more important for you to like in a device ( screen size, screen quality, battery life, customization freedom, UI smoothness).
Things that go with apple is good built & screen quality, excellent battery life , and best ui experience in terms of smoothness, good app store with quality apps.
Things that don't go with apple is lack of customization, worst ever contact book. And size of the screen if we compare it with screen size of other phones 3.7, 4.0, 4.3.
Things that go with SGS is excellent screen in terms of size and quality. Customization of ui, excellent contact book and weight of the phone.
Things that don't go with SGS are too much lag & problems with ui (such as crashing of browser and other apps) don't know what the problem is with ui, as even after upgrading it with 2.2 and using task manger , the phone misbehaves . may be it's because of samsungs touchwiz overlay with google, because if have used htc andoird Phone also but that didn't had this problem.
Battery life also is not that good as compared with iPhone 4 even though it's 1500mah ( reason may be because of andoird using battery to know ur location and updates even though u are not using the phone)
Built quality is ok, not too good, but then u get a light weight phone.
Now for me smoothness of ui is the most important thing as I would love to have no hangups and no-crashes of apps while using the phone. I can give-up the screen size 4.0 for 3.5, because u also get a better battery life with smaller screen size.
But what I would like apple to with their next upgrade of ui would be a better contact book ( like win 6.5 contacts, it had the best contact options)
So I guess which phone is best is for each person to look and decide what he wants the most in the phone and then got for it.

I bought this phone 2 months back and I must say this phone is really good, I wish it had flash though. Once you install applications from the market, it does slow down and battery life does get affected (I had to charge everyday). So I searched the net a bit and ended up installing an application called automatic task killer. My battery now lasts 2 days and the phone has become faster than ever. Android is not such an intelligent OS and has to go a long way, till then we need to install such supportive applications to make android faster and better.
