I have both Galaxy S and HTC Desire and until yesterday Galaxy S was the best. Yesterday I installed latest Oxygen, with Android 2.3.1, and that fixad all my problems with Desire because it now have no problem keeping a stable 3G-connection and the new improved way to move apps to the sd-card now fixas the problem with the small built in memiry for installing apps. I can now play any and very many games on my Desire. I can play Nova and Sandstorm and Nedd for Speed Shift and... withoutany problem on my Desire.

i'm from Saudi Arabia and im interested of getting this phone thru Amazon.com
my question does Samsung phones support Arabic language internationally like the iPhone for example or the Arabic Language will not be available?

My Samsung Galaxy S send poor sound quality on call. I always hear the other side complaining that I don't speak clearly.

viraf, 03 Jan 2011i hope they start manufacturing galaxy s again in India. ... moreviraf, you better hurry up and get one.. No use waiting for one... They have stopped it completely.. I have enquired in many places.. So hunt for leftover... our else you are left with nexus s or you have to wait for couple of months for new phones, which would be definitely overpriced!!

Lots of good ones are expected.. watch out for CES show happening on 6 th, they are about to reveal lots of good phones.. Dual core phones are coming up.. I could nt wait 2 more months.. These handsets look different and have different logos.
HOWEVER, if the retailer claims that the unit is the international version, then chances are it is a fake. My galaxy s has the "with google" logo at the back along with the samsung logo.
As a precaution, I suggest that you find some other retailer and have a look at their handsets. As far as my personal perspective is concerned, with investments like these, I'd rather be sure with what I am buying because if the device turns out to be fake, then you won't get the same quality as the original and it might break down after a month or so.

Android logo on samsung galaxy S back instead of google logo , Normal ????
I am scared about buying it , i wonder if it is the same mobile ( hardware ) same quality , same quality of the super amoled screen , does any one have the samsung galaxy S with the Android logo on the back instead of the google ? i guess the hardware is equal and the quality , any feedback please ? i am going to buy it tomorrow if someone have any information let me know , thanks..
Hint: I live in the middle east, some guy said it might be a a malfunctioning version of the product..

tictoc, 03 Jan 2011Has anybody inststalled an app called "apps2SD", ... moreApps to sd was made because a lot of a android mobiles had low storage space on c-disk and ran out of app space..This meant to install new apps you had to delete old ones..So some developers made some of their apps movable to sd to free up space..Symbian had this 8 years ago by the way..
To sum up the SGS has tonnes of space to store gallons of apps to that apps to sd card is not needed ..
To answer your question on the partition its an allocation of part of your sd card to store apps,,thats it ..I have never used the app but i suppose it would give you some options of how much of your sd card you would like to give up to store apps..
I am using 32gb card as usual but whether this OCLF or one click lag fix is actuallyworking i dont know..It does feel better using app killer and cache cleaner to speed things up?? Whe i go to app or task killers their is tonnes of stuff opened up ..In fact i going to list whats opened up to see if anyone whos an expert see that its normal Android operation.
I am really pretty good with symbian but still learning android,,what i mean is the average person in street will just download apps and not bother,but,we ae here as the minority geeks who are interested in the goings on of these mini computers..

Does anybody knows how the alarm works when the phone is switched off??If you try it,(with the phone switched off) the alarm is not working!!

if u can't upgrade your phone, remove your kies and install a new version of kies from samsung website and u should get the upgrade. if the upgrade was released for the middle east, it's probably released for the whole world.

I checked at samsung store(Employee direct shop) the person said that the supply of this phone has stopped and the last batch arried in december.. so guys go grab the left over phone. - Bangalore
