Hello guys! If eny of you has upgraded to 2.2 froyo please tell me how is phone after the upgrade! Is it even faster then with 2.1? Has the lagging issue been resolved? Thanks!

I had to do research on buying my new phone, as i wanted almost everything i can get for cheap good price. after comparing between HTC Apple Nokia and Samsungs top mobiles it came to the conclusion to get the Galaxy S as it has everything other phone has and some features more of. ever since i brought it all i could do was boast about how much better it is that what people say, a friend of mine has the HTC desire and another has the iPhone4 the galaxy by far out performs them, now they are changing to Samsung, although i been a Samsung person, you just cannot beat their phones, Samsung makes phone that do absolutely better than any other in the market and they will continue to produce more and more better phones. There is a reason why i wont go to sony is because they are limited to what you can do like the iPhone4 but just not as good enough to compare.

This is zeeshan from pakistan well i got this set 3 days before after reading lot of reviews on internet, i am very happy to having this wonderful set. Very easy to use, perfect screen size, brilliant colours display very nice interface, easy to use & cool android applications. Best android phone available in market.

What is the maximum number of applications you can load for the phone.
Does this depend on the memory card size 16 GB and 8 GB for Froyo.
Is there a concept of maximum memory allocated for user installed apps.

When I went to megamall earlier, it was 31,500 pesos (this is probably in cash only). I bought mine a month ago for 32, 290 pesos - cash. There was a previous sale before in Samsung and all its official retailers where the price was lowered to 31,00 (cash again).
I don't know the price if a credit card is to be used, but the "other" official retailers usually makes you pay extra for credit card purchases - even if the transaction is straight payment. I don't know the arrangement if the purchase is from samsung mobile. Just be careful, the service support technicians are really stupid.

I went to Application settings and the debugging mode was not selected. I am still struggling to connect. The MTP application keeps on restarting when i try to connect. I have even uninstalled all recently installed applications

The only things that were gone are the settings I had (like ring tone, alert tone, etc.) as well as the database of the swype feature (it no longer remembers the words that were previously saved).

PravSg, 05 Dec 2010For last 3 weeks i am unable to connect my phone through ki... moreDude, I saw a Singaporean SGS owner post here in GSMArena about the Froyo update being available in Singapore (and he/she has installed it). This is already two weeks old so I think you should be able to upgrade to Froyo, unless there is some problem. Just make sure to upgrade your Kies to the latest version first because if you don't, even if the update is already available, it may not show up. You can download Kies from samsungmobile.com

To EVERYONE who have upgraded to froyo.. After upgradation, restore it to factory settings, switch it off-on, and then use... You get no lag.... :)
