I bought galaxy s , it's realy nie and fast i realy liked it and it has all software which i needed in it's market !
i think it's same as iphone 4 but less price !

Updated to froyo..........used quadrant to know benchmark it showed 901............galaxy is third to HTC nexus one 2.2+...........y is that with this hardware also>???Do i need to put a lag fix?
Galaxy should be no.1 rite y is it 3rd in quadrant benchmark?

i updated my galaxy s to froyo 2.2 and didn't used any lag fix...
everything is running fine...except a problem ..sometimes it get stuck for a 2-3 seconds and then recover back...after this i was not able to drag the notification area down....but was able to open the notification area using menu option...everything else runs fast and good...this happened just twice in 2 days when i just bombarded the phone with a lot of requests in a very short time when it is upto something....i should call it lag..??..may be i will get the answer in some more days..
..so somebody here with the review after updating to froyo...plz share...thanks..

Upgraded to froyo bt auto rotation doesnt work well.....any solution?Also using Z4 is it good??Or should i use any other lag solutions

By the way, has anyone of you guys installed the remote control from Samsung Apps (the built-in "Samsung Apps" application in SGS)? When I got my phone, I saw it in the list but just ignored it. After I updated to froyo, this app is gone and when I checked Samsung Apps from Kies, a message popped up that said Google's policy does not allow the installation of applications from the Samsung App Store. I'm about to get a Samsung LED TV which is compatible with that feature but now I don't (or can't, whichever way you prefer) get the application. Please help!!!

After updated to froyo dxjpa,my mobile ap cannot tethering anymore,it can connect but cannot browsing,any solution guys?what's wrong?
I already reset my sgs but mobile ap still wont work

i have samsung galaxy s... i want to understand ... moreDude, since you are using the 8GB version, then this is just about right.
The missing 2GB (approx) is because this memory is reserved for app installation and the mobile phone's OS. Take my phone for example. It's a 16GB unit but only shows 13.43GB for the internal SD card because 1.87GB is in the "programs" or essentially the ROM. Put them together and you'll get the 16GB (well, almost 16GB).
I also bought a 16GB microsd card to further boost my phone's memory so you can do the same in case you feel like the 6GB is not enough (actually, go for 32GB!!!).

Have you tried to update Samsung Kies? The latest version (that I got just three days ago) is 1.5.3.10103.102_1.
Just to share, I was also checking Samsung Kies everyday when the update appeared last November 21 (I'm from the Philippines in Southeast Asia). I was able to upgrade my phone the following day using the version of Kies right before the above release. After the froyo update, I checked for updates again in Kies (just to check) and I got the message that my device already has the latest firmware. When the updated Kies was made available (and I didn't install it), the message that I got when I checked for another update for froyo (just for kicks) is that my device's firmware cannot be updated. Upon installing the updated Kies, the prompt returned back to the phone having the latest firmware already. My interpretation of this is that the latest Kies is needed to update SGS's firmware.
