ajay, 29 Nov 2010my laptop is not detecting my phone pls helpmy laptop doesn't detect my phone neither. I installed "Kies" software, but the laptop couldn't detect the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!! I already restored and reseted the phone, but the problems still persists!!!! can u guys help

Upgraded It to froyo (india) yesterday
CHANGES from 2.1 are
Faster
Google Voice
New wallpaper
Apps now on sd card, can be done
Negligible lag, better than 2.1
Browser with flash
Must upgrade.

yes i updated my SGS(india) to froyo its working good so far there is slight lag but faster than ecalir

Inder, 29 Nov 2010Anyone updated to Froyo (Indian version) please share your ... moreHello i just finished updating to froyo and before that saved all contacts and after update reset to factory settings because the phone saves your all vids photos etc. Its definetely worth upgrade to froyo its fast lag free and lovely. Eventhe video recording ui has good changes and still shots also got good improvement. Go with froyo(i did the factory reset because i read at xda dev forums that if not done after upgrade phone will devlop lags)

Anyone updated to Froyo (Indian version) please share your experience how is it
Are there any lags still. How is the browser after having flash, is it smooth or jerky with flash.
What ram is the phone showing 304 or 512 mb.
What about your paid applications of market after upgrade, will u get them again or not.
Should one upgrade to 2.2 or be with 2.1
I got 2.1 with Launcher pro . And It works fine really smooth
Should I upgrade or wait for experience of other people.
Pls guide anyone.

After updating to Froyo 2.2, get z4root at market and install. after than get lagfix, also on market and install.
Use your brains people.

Manish, 26 Nov 2010I am also facing the same problem. The battery goes in just... moreseriously pal...dnt no whts vit its battery...dsnt last long at all inspi8 f keepin evrything off...evn tried reducing display bri8ness as it suggested...still no use :-( dnt no whts wron vit it x-(

Slower ... morenow the released wont me much faster still lags but u wont find that black screen again but in next update u will get perfect one bec in some country they get a better update of froyo that works perfect but still some countrys like india r not making optimized one to work perfect may be later u will get one that works perfect...
for now froyo is not bad that makes multitouch support homescreen , flash support, faster web browsing , improved market and lots more.... better gps as well...

Some Android, 29 Nov 2010It is not true that this phone has 512 mb RAM, please be ca... moredont be silly samsung is already mentioned everything clear but still some ppl keep on asking the same 304 is th default free space avail for 3rd party apps its same in all phone but htc phones shows full 512mb and the kernal uses 110mb with cam driver and video playbackuses 80mb so remaining is same 305mb but samsung did something to give better performance in playback and cam... they uses the 190 mb as reserved memory for kernal and cam with playback so all phones have same 512 and remaining ram is nearly 150mb final... without knowing just dont comment pls
