I have this phone but cannot send or receive picture text. My carrier is tmobile. Does anyone know the setting for it?

the keis software worked fine weeks ago then recently it wouldnt connect to my phone, than all of a sudden it works perfectly fine, now its updating itself and i hope it includes 2.2!
still extremely satisfied with my samsung galaxy s! still the best handset i ever owned, nice picture quality, okay battery life better then other another android phone i know of in terms of battery life, in all, its a great impressive phone that does the job perfectly.

1) battery life - make sure you have juice defender and task manager installed - also use the Galaxy's own power saving features - very handy, you'll get a day and half tops out of it, but that's most powerful handsets nowadays...
2) no apps? google market! samsung's own apps aren't up to much, but google has 1000s
3) KIES - it's a tricky one - it does work, and shouldn't really even need the update, however, many people have had problems (I think it's more USB drivers and PC issues) - as mine recently has been playing up (even after backing up / factory reset) - I think MTP drivers can be fiddly.. but if you're REALLY having problems, swap USB mode to storage mode, and you can bypass KIES and just drag / drop as normal!

Absolutely..........Led flash isnt needed much for camera phones.............With/without led flash is almost the same except for pictures taken in dark(with people near it) as distance increases clarity of picture is lost even with flash.......But xenon flash is the most powerful one capable of taking even distant pictures well.............
If u have facebook account just go to samsung galaxy forum and check out the pictures.........

and its not easy to give up a long battery life by running 1ghz processor more over this os is 16 million... microsof has made a colour limitation to phone mainly to give up more battery life but now its diff must have to come up with 16 million no choice.... so battery must have to be improved.....

The battery very very bad.......I bought it yesterday. the batter life go down on afternoon afer I charged at night. The Wi-Fi doesn't good.

Try to dissable it and you will have a big surprise. I managed to talk 2 hours on the phone, to navigate on the net aprox. 2 hours and to play some Android games and after one day I still had around 50% battery. Anyway, I don't think I will be able to let this phone stay for nothing for more than 2 hours (even at work), because it's awesome. The best phone around! And it doesn't make any sense to compare Galaxy S with iPhone4. They are 2 different phones with 2 different OS'. But, IMHO, Galaxy S is better!

every google os phone has a battery draining problem htc desire also drains fast but compare to any other google phone galaxy is better u guys never use other google phone so u can say the galaxy s has poor battery life.... check ot the other google os phones its too worst especially x10.....
its problem with os but not with the phone.... google wan the os to work faster so it made some frequently used application by user to run at background all time so it makes battery to drain faster even u end that with task killer it wont end and some applications lag behind which the task killer wont show....

Hey.
Got the phone couple of days ago and the frist impressions are, that its quite amazing.
But now im gettin some doubts.
1)The battery doesnt even last a day.
2)I cant get any apps on it... The samsung app's which is under applications on the phone has only some stupid apps to download and only like 10 of them.
On Kies, it says, that i need to upgrade my kies in order to download and install apps on my phone(its allready 1.5.1...). When i press "no", it shuts the samsung app window, when i press "yes" it tryes to find upgrade, but fails and then closes everything once again and nothing else happens....
What am i doing wrong? Really wanna get some apps on the phone and also the GPS.

i prefer htc desire than this galaxy but batteries for both make are not sufficient,please be more innovatif in battery life

I have seen this phone and had a chance to test it, this phone is something else. Totally loved it even though I cannot afford for now. The swipe thing I tested it works wonders, Samsung is officially ahead in their game, by time we have iphone 5 galaxy s would be 5 steps back among samsung's top handsets.

It just mirrors what is there on screen of SGS.
Its cool, but clarity is better on LED TV than a normal LCD TV.
