If you take it to Samsung service center they may say that the service warranty has been void cuz you altered the firmware thus, they would ask for a service fee.

If Any Body Have Any T... more Hi ,
I had firmware i9000jf3 .... Few days my phone worked fine after android market app started to show unable to download/install app and tow of the apps were showing force close.
I reset it to factory settings by settings>privacy>factory reset ..bt issue remained same ...then i did hard reset by volume up + home + power and wipe data/ factory reset ...still same issues were there .
Then i updated firmware to i9000jg4 using Samsung kies ....after flashing my previous app and account setting were still there ....now all the previous apps and android market were showing force close all the time .
Then i flashed phone to jg4 , jg5 , jg8 using Odin ...problem was still there .
i reinstall all those apps one by one then did factory reset ... it was showing all reinstalled apps again bt no one was working ( showing force close )
same was with internal sd card data ( photo, media files etc. ) , i format those bt on factory reset or on flashing data appears again .\
now camera not storing pics on sd card , android market is nt running , and all those previous apps also nt running .
Please help me how could i get it on stock settings where all stock app include android market and sd card could work properly .
i tried to hard reset as u told hold volume down button press n release power button ..bt it restart nt show screen for data wiping ,,,,

Hi,
I have a question regarding Galaxy S ...one issue I see is that every time i am using the phone say listening to music…then downloading some app…then playing some game ..then checking Gmail…then checking my twitter/facebook account…all these applications remain open and I have to go to the Task killer(downloaded from the Market) to close those Apps else they do not close on their own …in fact I do not even see any easy option of closing the apps …
Is this the case with all these ANrdoid apps and we will have to live with it or am I missing something? I want to be able to kill the app when I am done with it…and later re-connect/re-open…
P.S. – some games do provide a close/exit option…

shiva, 25 Aug 2010first put ur phone display to auto then install the auto ta... morecheck out the firmware jp2 r jp3? bec jp2 is not stable.... to check the firmware got to settings > about phone.....

New user, 25 Aug 2010Nope, I have not updated!!! Firmware is : 2.1 update 1. ... morefirst put ur phone display to auto then install the auto task manager that will kill the running background process which will improve battery life then so to settings and disable background data connections....

Firmware is 2.1-update1.
Honestly guys..I have not installed much applications.
But after listening to music for 6-7 hours battery level came to yellow. N bordered red after 1 hr...
Shit man, i wasted 28k... Its a great phone,but this bad response on usage of battery i did not expect.
I dont know wht to do now, i went to return and buy some other mobile now they r offering 24k,.. :(

Go for galaxy bcoz it is one of the best phone in the market and cost is less than its competitor iphone 4g.galaxy rocks.dont think twice go for it.

samsung galaxy i9000 and Android 2.1 has done small but major mistakes as above.
1. ) There is no facility to change font size in so i can’t see full name in contact list and almost 6 contacts seen in display when i click on contact But if font size could change so i can adjust as per my mind and easy to search of it because i have saved 700 contacts so when i need to call anybody i have to need scrolling so much,
So please add this option that font size can be possible to change at least in contacts also.

2. ) There is no option for Voice call tone keep a Beep and Ascending for some noise restriction area. If this facility would be in so i can use it in some place like court, Meeting that i can manage the call before tone make full loud.

3. ) There is no facility in calendar that i can search event list.
For search it i have to scrolling entire event so make a search option in calendar for event search.
*(Other OS provides this facility)
4. ) A big mistake and problem by Samsung Kies and Android 2.1 that i have saved my 700 contacts by divided in group but i can’t manage it from Samsung kies because it in kies there is not option for Group so after upgrade or reset the phone i have to do labor for add the group of those my 700 contacts.
*(Other OS and PC Suit provide this facility)
5. ) Again a Big Mistake and problem by Samsung Kies and Android 2.1 that there is not option for send message direct from PC when device connect with Samsung Kies only i can save and see the messages but not Draft or Send.
Same with Calendar also, i can’t see event list in Samsung Kies on pc so wht the use of Kies if i can’t manage my phone from PC, Kies is just Display of my Phone!!!
Think if this facility would provide by you, so how become an easy to type long message?

6. ) Why Android 2.1 does not give a Application for Recording the Incoming and outgoing conversations, This is big demand now a days and Samsung Galaxy i9000 S not gives this facility!
How can say this is a No.1 Smart phone than others.
It's ok if Android 2.1 does not provide in OS but when i installed other application for recording my calls so those are also useless, what a shame!
Please make a Application that can suitable for Recording Call Conversations in Samsung Galaxy i9000 S (Android 2.1 OS).
7. ) And At Last what a negligence of Samsung Company after all Samsung has already released a Samsung Galaxy i9000 S device but yet in the website it does not been updated.
When i Sign in with Join a Membership on http://in.samsungmobile.com/footer/contact-us.do and i tried to add my device so there is no device name in the list which provide by Samsung Company
8.) Now a days people buy the phone for them easy work but with samsung i9000 Android OS it will be very difficult, because mobilebanking, news, film application does not support for android, Why?,, You should give propose to provide application for Android Platform.
My Prayer Is:
It's enough now , after long thinking i choose that i inform this Samsung company for make a batter device than now because now I cannot change or replace a phone due to big amount and now a days people want this small but very common facility that can help for being a batter mobile Owner.
Please if possible this issue transfers also to the Android developer for make a firmware update for Galaxy i9000 with common Option which i described above.
