Assisted GPS requires a net connection to mark u
If maps are preloaded in the phone then u require only GPS else U need AGPS to get the map via net and then mark u............

This is a junky toy phone. It's plastic body is not perfect for this design. when I got it to my hand I felt like that. It can drop only one or two time in it's life. That will be the end of this phone.
I'm waiting for Nokia N8
I don't need to use a toy phone for short time.

Does this phone have a numeric keypad for typing?
I find it very useful (on my LG Renoir) to use the numeric keypad with T9 (predictive text). It really speeds up typing for me and fewer errors because the buttons are twice the size of the qwerty keypad.
The shop assistants could not demonstrate the numeric keypad for typinmg on SGS so maybe someone here can help.

I plugged in my earphone and press the 5.1 channel button......bt it says to turn off the audio effects so that 5.1 works.......how do i do that.........i changed the settings(audio effect->normal,equaliser->auto) then also the option shows same thing......any1 kno how???

[deleted post]Dude! get your facts correct before you comment here. well, first of all.....I'm sure you dont own this fone. If you did you would know tht its has the FM Radio icon on the 1st pg of the menu. Where are you from. I mean Which country. I'm frm India and the handsets here do have FM Radio. Neways with such a powerful device who would use a crap like the FM Radio. Apart from tht you get sooooooooo many apps in the market tht u can download. If you dont know this, pls stop playing around.
