Froyo which is expected to arrive soon promises to sort all these things. About the music problem, I got ma hands on SGS only 4 a week nuw,I havent copied any music because I was sorting out other applications trying to get GPS solution and all........Hmmm let us wat happens...........Gtalk and other applications I dont think would b possible to kill always as wen u r online we use android dat supports google and for google these apps must b run(mandatory mayb)..........let us c wat happens in froyo

Anup, 17 Aug 2010Not delete I mean Uninstall from SGS itself..........Any id... moreI am trying to uninstall g-talk cause when i look at settings its on all the time it has 14hrs 23 mins by it now,,ive sent it to rubbish bin i have got advanced task manager and it wont uninstall it,,i know its running all the time and i dont use it AFAIK but if its runninng its using RAM and battery..
The galaxy s is quite complicated to sort out but its fast at least..
Another problem is this ,i have 3,824 mp3 tunes and all is fine except when i press artist on top right to find a particular artist ,,it comes up in red writing at top of screen;
"Not enough space in Music Database"
Dont know what that means but with 32GB card i think most fones are struggling and that includes n79,n85,n86e72 and so on..They are capable of 32gb but it takes some searching and also refreshing for any smartfone to detect and remember all that info..
On charge cycle 10 and with heavy use get 14 hrs before battery is low that you cannot play songs or take fotos etc but you can fone and text..Their is another point where it goes yellow the battery indicator but you still seem to have about 20% battery left..
I have got rid of 19 apps to make it less of a nightmare of apps just going on and on and it takes time to find them and most i hardly use..The trouble is in symbian you nip online to do web activity then log off..With android it basically wants you online all the time cause if you want to do any update or any web use you have to go into settings to activate BACKGROUND DATA then turn it off again to save battery,,it evens says turning off this feature will save battery along with 2g selection..Android is messy but as this is the best ever at moment choice is low but at least i have my super-duper concert settings..

got froyo 2.2 onto my galaxy flawless no problems with it so far ...far faster than 2.1

Have been using the phoen for 2 weeks love it
Have out the LauncherPro homescreen on and it looks amazing with the screen being so good
Being bale to charge by usb is great as the battery doesn't seem to last more than a day if you have wireless, 3g on etc

this phone is fantastic but the battery is appalling. its an iphone in disguise. it will support FROYO next month!

Resistive touchscreens:they need pressure to know wat 2 do
Capacitive touchscreens:they use the thermal(heat) from the source to do the actions.
I think u got wat I mean............

I just picked up the phone last week and considering I moved from an iPhone 3gs to this, all I can say is WOW......THANKS SAMSUNG THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE HANDSET looks and functionality in one such a rarity these days. Samsung have thrown down the gauntlet for all the other players in the field..................BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really love this phone, I was wondering if your able to use your finger nails to type/write or do you have to use your finger tips? I don't know the difference of the Cap or Res touchscreens. Sorry for being a noob =.=
