P.S. Is there a diference between the "Samsung I9000 Galaxy " and "Samsung Galaxy S GT i9000" ? Or is it the same phone ?

From what you are saying you want to connect your galaxy s to your laptop to use wi-fi but the galaxy s has top wi-fi so why not just connect straight to wi-fi from your fone??
Or do you mean you want to use galaxy s 3g/hsdpa connection to create a wi-fi hotspot so you can connect your laptop via wi-fi?? If its the latter the only app i know and only used on symbian is joiku spot which has a lite version for free BUT ive only seen it on symbian,,thats my answer altho it might not be much help..

jap052574, 06 Aug 2010hello guys, right now I'm deciding what to buy between Ip... morebattery is drained so quickly but i charge mine at night and its 100% i check e-mails surf web for around 30mins take pics etc and in the evening its still aroung 70% but to be fair there is an awful lot of god apps running at all times i am plesed with mine its an iphone killer no probs

I think the only difference you'll notice is the apps. market, which is even smaller than that of Apple.
But with the fast growing Android powered phones I don't think this will be for a long time anymore.
By the end of the year they just might be offering the same number of apps though.

I just checked my Galaxy S but it has no business card reader as it comes out of the box.
But....
This is an Android phone and I also checked the market and you'll find at least 10 different apps (free & paid) so there will be no problem to find one of your liking!

Women usually don't carry phones in their pocket, but place it on their bags instead. So I think your comment about what is suitable for women is kinda stupid.. You clearly have no idea what a woman wants.

Basically wat it does is that via the camera, it takes an image of a business card, and detects the data n saves it as a contact!
This is an awesome feature.. So just wanted to know if the Galaxy S has the same... Else im sold on the phone!
