Saurav, 30 Jun 2010Oh come on guys, why every time you have to compare a phone... moreIf Froyo will not be comming there are two options:
1. use Android 2.1 and download a flash enabled browser from android market.
2. Install froyo manually. If sure that if the users of the iPhone found a solution to its biggest problem (jailbreak), we can find solutions too.

tim, 28 Jun 2010I haven't yet had hands-on-experience on Galaxy S (ships ne... moreWell, I have a Samsung Galaxy S (8GB, but it's also possible to have it with 16GB, however once Froyo comes up, I will use the external memory more).
What I like:
1. Screen unlock pattern (on a matrix of 3x3 points you can select whatever pattern you want for unlocking the screen, so strangers may have a hard time looking in your phone).
2 Speeeeed.
3 swipe.
4 Great display.
5 Great camera.
5 The "Layers" application (let's you see in space POI's around you).
7 You can play DivX movies "out of the box" (I like this when I travel).
8 Good battery life (due also to economical proc and display).
From android market:
9 Find my phone app.
Minus points:
No web flash in standard browser (but to be solved with Froyo; also there is a android marked browser who has it).

Hi All,
I brought Samsung galaxy s on last Saturday. I am facing a problem is that when the battery becomes low the CPU usage is becoming 63%. I don’t know why this is happening. Usually what I do is I switch off my mobile and then switch it on. At this time the CPU usage becomes 0%. Can anyone help me to bring down my CPU usage when the battery is low?

I'm starting to think people are bitching and moaning about the lack of camera flash just because it's not there, not because it would add to the overall user experience.
I've had the Galaxy S for 11 days now, and my previous SE (flashless as well) - for over a year. Not once in this time did I ever regret the absence of a puny LED flash. Simple reason: it's no good anyway. How many of you have actually taken a photo at night that was useful for ANYTHING?

Oh come on guys, why every time you have to compare a phone with an iPhone? That means in some sense you like the iPhone. Anyway, I tried this phone for 2 hours, the best thing is the screen, the 4" Super AMOLED is very good. But it's not a major improvement over normal AMOLED. And the bad parts are a lot, the build quality is plasticky, it feels like a 50$ Chinese phone. The speaker is so feeble and the lack of camera flash. And one more thing the software support, Samsung is the world's best brand for their pathetic software support, I am confident that this device won't have the Froyo update. Samsung lied with i8910, they will do the same with this one.
So if anybody have 500$ to burn, then buy this, you will have a beautiful screen, but beside that not so much boss.
And Samsung fanboys, I will love to watch what you guys will do when Froyo gets out and you guys have to die for it.
Regards,
Saurav.

very light weight unit, great quality screen, OS not slow or unresponsive, No drop in GPS reception. Does not feel like great build quality due to the light weight design, but dont let that fool you, great unit.

wow.. the iFone4 costs around US$1950 in Hong Kong, HK$ 15,000. where as the samsung G S US$714, HK$ 5500. Big difference for the same specs of a good phone. I believe and hope the public are not "brand-washed" into thinking that the more expensive it is, the better. but reality is.. the public are blinded..
