well, this beast is available for sale in Australia now, at least on Mobicity.com.au

Its the 8gb version for $989AUD (not including postage)!! Pretty damn expensive for a 8gb model.

          boooo!

it is the middle of June now and the Galaxy S is still nowhere to be found in Samsung Mobile's outlets. not even the leaflets or flyers! big posters? banners? naah.

what on earth are they thinking about?

those who waited since the announcement of this phone in March are getting fed-up including myself.

might as well name it to i9000 Galaxy S Prototype and release it in Christmas once it is fully ready for mass production (if it is ready by then).

or still waiting for iPhone 4 and HTC Evo 4G's price? Samsung, if ur confident on ur product, just make them available in ur outlets for crying out loud.

*applies to non pre-orders and contract binds users

again, mystery shoppers and those who works for Samsung, if u read this, do report this rant to your boss.

Great screen but seriously, 122mm? are you kidding me...how does this fit in your pocket lol. Id rather go for the Wave but only if it had Android and not lame Bada. Motorola Milestone XT720 seems to be the phone im gonna get my hands on.

                  XT720 or iPhone 4 hmmm i wonder

the microUSB port in the i8510/innov8 sucked and after a year failed... samsung repair shop wont even repair it anymore so there's my investment gone...

can anyone confirm if the microUSB on the new Samsung smart phones have been modified/improved?

i think the features set of samsung phones are great but i got screwed with the i8510...

[deleted post]No time soon, i phoned up O2 to get my PAC code and was put through to retentions, guy asked me why i was moving and i told him for the Galaxy S. He asked what was wrong with the Galaxy (Portal) they stock and i told him the S was a totally different ball game entirely with among others 4"Super AMOLED display.
He then asked me had i looked at Dell Streak which they must be stocking instead of Galaxy S as alternative to iphone! I told him not a chance, think some buyer for O2 has boobed big time not predicting S's popularity!

well yea I get how black is really classy and sleek, but if you cover the logo and go to the app screen, anyone would think that its an iphone lol. that's about the only thing I hate about it, everything else is just awesome.

Is it possible to first buy one using Android Eclair and then upgrade the same phone to Android Froyo when it becomes available?
