All you guys complaining at the low RAM, have you seen the speed of this device in the videos? Clearly RAM isn't a problem, when it can run widgets and still be this speedy. We will have to see how it can handle a lot of applications at once, but I don't think RAM is a limitation on android phones like it is on computers or winmo phones.
Also, the fact that this looks like an iphone is a GOOD thing. The iphone is a very pretty device, with a nice user interface. It is just useless at all the other things. If Samsung have made an iphone running android that works well, and has more features than any other phone out there, then that is FANTASTIC. I would never buy an iphone, but I would absolutely buy a galaxy s.
The lack of flash is (to me) not important. I can understand some people being annoyed, but I don't think I have ever used my flash when taking pictures with my phone, as they never come out as good as they would with good lighting. That is just my opinion, though.

If it truly has 256MB of RAM, instead of 512, then it's a guaranteed FAIL as a top-end Android phone.
There's something fishy about the fact that Samsung refuses to release the full specifications for this phone (including RAM amount).

lol u samsungAgreed, 256MB for this device is really low, in fact 256MB is the only weakness this device had apart from not having a camera flash.
If it only had a 512MB and a flash, it would've been PERFECT!

And mind it Beam also is a product by Samsung. And Samsung dont have flash on Galaxy S because they dont want to make it competitor of beam. They make Galaxy S as a competitor of Iphone. And You say Beam is faster than iphone ha ha ha, what a joke. You should know iphone with 600 mhz is much faster than many phones with 1ghz processor. Like it or not all of my words are true.
And yeah, I'm more interested on X10 and N8 rather than this phone or iphone. This phone has only one advantage in my opinion that is Super Amoled. Super Amoled is good in day but what about night. The over sharpness can also affect your eyes. And Touchwiz, Its look so childish, see the ui of X10, even it is on 1.6 but still it is far better than Galaxy S. I well know you Samsung fanboys are not going to digest my words but they are true, you like it or not..

Well well guys, I'm not a fan of Samsung. This phone is total photo copy of iphone but they add some more cool features. So this should not be called flagship device.

I really don't understand why r there no flash? HTC have several phone without flash (HD, diamond,pro, pro2), then hd2 begin to have flash b/c they know customers need one. Iphone does not have one but the 4G will, should be, because it 5mpx with 720 HD recording enable. Now Samsung is not having one with his professional phone? why?

was first announced in march, got previewed a vids were uploaded into youtube.com
20th may, galaxy s was featured in IO Google as well (go chck d vids out on youtube.com). and yet still no news abt its official release.
htc evo 4g is now out. froyo has made its appearance too. samsung, wat are u waiting for?
