Big Bang, 15 May 2010Don't think the phone will be a hit. Too big, too expensive... moreWRONG, its currently the Thinnest smartphone (or will be in a month), i've had a 3.7 inch display *Omnia HD* and its to small for me, people even bought millions of HTC HD2 with a HUGE F... 4.3 inch display.... people want a bigger screen, especially when it comes as SUPER AMOLED not TFT or regular LCD :):)

Look guys, there is ONE fact that everybody seems to be ignoring about this pice.this phone is only 9.9mm thin, do you know how thin that is???? not like n8 *12.9mm which is a brick compared to it or HTC EVO which also measures 13mm -.-.... IMHO the only design flaw is the back cover, should be metal or tita...

take a look at the pictures taken with the desire.
you don't need a flash if the pictures with the galaxyS would be as bad.
lets hope that the picture quality is good - thats more important than a flash. i'd love to see pictures like xperia's - not that phone-stuff of the desire.

If you want a flash... go buy a camera. This is a phone. Flashes with phone cameras don't usually work properly anyway, and I know because I've used them, having owned a Motorola Milestone, HTC Nexus One and a Blackberry Bold 9700. They are useful as a small torch though, but thats about it.

Does anybody know if this phone is coming in June for T-mobile? or at least when it's coming out?

                  Weird but I read this:

Here's where things get really interesting. Apparently Verizon and AT&T will also offer a similar Galaxy S but Sprint's version will have a sliding QWERTY. Weird, right? There's more. Some of these seem like more of a stretch than others, but whatever. If we're right, remember where you heard this stuff first.

The phone will be Android 2.1 but should be 2.2 when it arrives.
Sprint's handset will arrive later than the others
Somehow, the Hummingbird processor is out and the Snapdragon chip is in.
All but AT&T's model will have a camera flash

                    Screw Flash.

You want flash? Buy the pink N8 and put some shiny stars on it and take pics of your friends all day to put it on MySpace or something.

It's better this way.. Not everyone will buy MY PHONE and therefore I will be one of the few ELITE CATS that will be enjoying the MASTERPIECE of this machinery!

IT'S MY PHONE... MINE I TELL YOU!

Samsung please add LED flash to the phone. I cannot believe you would leave something so basic out. I'm with T-mobile, and if it does have LED flash then I will buy it. Samsung you talk about hd recording, but what good is it without LED Flash?

Come on Samsung, adding in a LED flash can't be that expensive. Don't lose millions of customers over not adding in flash

This phone is gonna be so awesome!!!!! The only con i see in this is the fact that there is no LED flash for the camera. If this phone gets a flash, them i'm sold!!! i have t-mobile, and i hope it comes out in June for t-mobile. I'll be a little bit over the edge if it comes in July simply because i am a guy without a lot of patience, but if it comes out in June then im sold.

To be honest, i really like the galaxy s, but in the way of features and design, i DO PREFER the samsung i8520 beam.
Yes, for the beam: 8mpx with hd recording plus led flash. Especially u seem to have a projector in ur hand when u carry it.

Don't think the phone will be a hit. Too big, too expensive, no flash, video not so good from the review, camera only 5mp,...etc.

But Samsung makes so many phones, their phones must not be perfect otherwise nobody will buy the next one.

Tmobile will get this one I9000 label as T959. Thought AT&T will get it?

                                  expansy-usa preorder for $615.00 but 3G listed as 900/2100? I thought it's either 900/1900/2100 or 850/1900/2100?

does this have continuous autofocus video recording? any sources? or will it be a wait till release date for a proper review.

So close to being a top of the range phone...
                                      Screen 480 x 800 pixels, 4.0 inches....nice
                                      CPU ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor....Very nice
Standard battery, Li-Ion 1500 mAh...Should keep it going for a few days.
And then they put a crappy 5 MP camera in it..
What a waste of F in time.
Is it just me or are they taking the hiss.
