Well, it seems like Samsung develops its phones to last 6 months only. So I would not go for this phone. Obvious example is older Galaxy i7500 which is around 6 months on market and stacked with 1.5 version of OS. Company never offered upgrade on 1.6, 2.0 or 2.1. We could say, "bad for business", because users feel betrayed since HTC company is working on upgrade for its Hero phone with similar specifications as Galaxy.

interested with android. don't care the hardware manufacturer. but currently it seems moto's android is more appealing than sam's.

if samsung do as teh specs say the phone work have a check the phone properly and not leave faults out then people wouldnt be so down on them that much

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy No 1 bought a phone touted to be great. What they got was a phone with:
- a poor battery -less than 24 hrs
- a glitchy interface
- non-working pc software
- a company not prepared to support its users
Galaxy 2 could be the best next thing but I still wouldn't touch it given the experience of Galaxy 1 owners.

i would not recommend it.
if samsung is not capable of upgrading galaxy 1 to android 2 then they dont think about support. what if it turns out, that galaxy 2 has some annoyances? custom mods again?
skip samsung.
thats what i think while still having galaxy 1

BORING... It's just another Android with the same old 5mp camera with no features, same old boring user interface, no HD recording, and the worst is the ugly design from samsung. Although I had that ugly part coming though considering its a samsung. This is BS! Better just get the Nexus One right away rather than waiting for this still rumored and unannounced phone. Or Better yet the X10 coming in less than a month.

Tri Band 3G, 32GB Internal and MicroSD up to 32GB. The latest Android 2.1, 3.7 AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. Android is moving fast. This devise can be a hit if it has minimum 512 MB RAM and a good GPU for graphics.
