to one who posted that samsung i7500 doesn't support eclair android (2.1) u don't know anything because u can put eclaire on htc magic without no biggy and samsung i7500 has the same specs. so u can put eclair on it. Try it . Your statment isn't sufficient.

Mobilemaster, 23 Mar 2010Awesome phone, but it can beat the X10? That's the question... moreI would prefer galaxy s to x10 because
1. Android 2.1
2. Super amoled
3. 16m colours
4. Hd recording(i think 5mp still is enough for me because i own satio)
5. Divx/xvid support.
IMO only plus point of x10 is 8mp still
plz do mention which one u guys will prefer

Almost everything are better than HTC Desire except very ugly model and user-interface design.
Last, I have noticed that the android button at the bottom doesn't fully equipped.

Awesome phone, but it can beat the X10? That's the question. Both have a formidable 1GHZ CPU, 4 inch WVGA screen(Samsung beats the X10), 8MP(X10), 5MP(Samsung).

Give how Samsung supported the Galaxy 1, I would rather buy an HTC or give Motorola and Sony Ericsson the benefit of the doubt, that they update their phones at least for one year after the release. Samsung already showed that they don't support their smartphone-users.

#1 my 7500 has android 1.6
#2 my htc magic does not have a working 2.1
#3 my 5700 spica has full working 2.1 for a week - the milestone not.
so i'd go for Galaxy2, if it would be available in time.

Well, it seems like Samsung develops its phones to last 6 months only. So I would not go for this phone. Obvious example is older Galaxy i7500 which is around 6 months on market and stacked with 1.5 version of OS. Company never offered upgrade on 1.6, 2.0 or 2.1. We could say, "bad for business", because users feel betrayed since HTC company is working on upgrade for its Hero phone with similar specifications as Galaxy.
