the battery life is quite short especially when one is using wifi...just about 2hours of surfing the web would already drain the battery. it also takes about 4 hours for the phone to be fully charged.

Ryan, 20 Aug 2011My phone cant play mp4 video..should i download any softwar... morethere are many video players in android market. i use mvideo player and mobo player. mvideo player support most of the files... but it hangs when i play hd videos directly which may be more of due to the phone's hardware and not the player..

lg optimus black or samsung galaxy sl? will b buying my first smartphone at the end of the month...
i'm not after the camera or flash,, i want to know which phone has the edge in terms of system performance, display, memory and multitasking, gaming and applications from lg world and samsung apps,, and i dont want amoled screens because it degrades everytime you use it.. thank you very much....

Did you do it using Kies or a 3rd party site?
Please do not use any third party till your phone is in warrety.

Yesterday did Firmware update through Kies. It was not a 2.3 update but I belive some bug fixes by Samsung.
Result: Hang and sudden restart is gone.
Now I am waiting for the time when they will release 2.3 update

um internet speed is great but i think the iPhone opera is a bit simpler for using (easier)
the video camera aint that good i wont recommend it for u really (Nokia c6-01 or c7 have better cameras , but they good internet experience)
music is great on it
cool things about the phone are the big screen and good music quality and good gaming experience and great Android experience really
to sum up
its a grat phone but not for video recording
u can even check its quality in the gsmarena review or on youtube.com
