ppl who are complainin abt the battery lyf,dont actually kno how to use a 4 inch touchscreen android device.i get at the very least 1day use of my galaxy with heavy net browsing, downloads, hd gaming, music,not mention 1hr talktym and texting.i don think any other android cud giv me better back up.i got 3 day standby from the phone with mininmum use.and here i c ppl complainin!learn how to use a droid ppl.u must uncheck the background data and wireless network in location under settings.these two will drain ur battery the most.don complain abt battery lyf when actually u dont hav the slightest idea abt how to use a droid or, how the other 4inch droids perform.

Kamal Kishore J, 23 Jun 2011My battery performence is quite good, with 3 to 5 hours of ... moreu are the first comment to let me worry less about battery life ,everyone i ask ,just keeps saying 7 hours of battery life and u can get less like 3 hours with watching movie or so ,which kinda disappoint me looking that with such battery life i wont use full aspects of the phone.

I am right now using both skype and fringe. Both are working flawlessly. Skype gives better voice clarity during calls made using 2g. The display gives fantastic viewing in bright sunlight. Colours appearing very vibrant. Sound quality is good when using loud speaker and awesome when using headphones.
The leaked gingerbread update is an alpha or beta update. There are few bugs. So wait for official gb update from samsung.
After one month of use I have to say, this is the best value for the money handset I have used so far. Worth even a few more.
Battery life is ok. Music quality is excellent. Very fast and feature rich mobile phone.
Don't hesitate. Just go for it. I think it will even run android icecream sandwich flawlessly, which is the next version of android, and also is a combination of both gingerbread and honeycomb. Have a good day all.

for downloading application directly from brower (offline for phone) goto
https://market.android.com/apps/APPLICATION
search the required application, and install (it ask you to login - login with gmail id which you used for reigstering your phone) once it check that any android handset is associated with id, then check for competablity of application then show you the option for Install and next Ok.
it will save your data plan if it is limited plan (in phone), and connect the handset with internet once you choosed all the application, now it automaticaly start downloading from market.

Does this phone heat... moreI am not faced any heat during call ( i have more then 10 minutes call) but if it used in time of charging, yes it heat, and using wifi, data some time after long usage, it heat from top, i am not used video call, as i have no friends confimation for skype till now and i am using 2G connection.
Hope very soon, few of my friends are joining skype / fringe, so we test video call / chat.
Photo quality is good in day time, night it required light source on object to get better picture.

AnonD-9631, 23 Jun 2011can u please comment on battery life??My battery performence is quite good, with 3 to 5 hours of browsing (Wifi/Data) runs 24 hours, and without using wifi/data but using some time GPRS and playing Game it runs more then 34 hours.
use Juice Defender, Battery Booster, and always check Advance Killer- about background application and use Task Killer>Download>click on application which is running in background>Stop from here.
and running services also> any Map or Mail, or other services which are not required, stop by clicking.
Hope this is give beter battery life....

I cou... moregoto market.android.com in pc brower, here you find search option, search Adobe Flash, and here you will get result and click install, it will ask you to login, then just enter your gmail id,and password (which is registred with Android phone) then it will show you your phone name in the list and if it is competable for Flash then you can proceed for install, then whenever you start data or wifi in your handset, it automatically start downloading the application. (Check in settings > Account>Background Sync Checked). Hope it will solve your problem

I couldnt find Adobe Flash in the MArket...by what term did you search in the App Market?
I did find Adobe reader, Adobe creatpdf but not Adobe Flash player 10.x
I wanna decide between I9000 and I9003 ... priority for one which gets Gingerbread..

On Froyo (OS version it comes with) this phone works great!
- Signal quality on par with other phones (used in a 5 floor building)
- Call / voice quality good. Can hear the other person no matter the background noise.
- Responsive, no lag issues experienced (this is without any hacks)
- GPS gets a signal quickly (on XXKB1 and XXKB3)
- Internal memory is enough to install any number of apps
- Great screen for reading RSS feeds etc.

GPS navigation. can anybody advise me about GPS navigation Muscat (Oman). The inbuit navigation application says the navigation is not available in Muscat (OMan). Please advise
