i bought this mobile yesterday. The specs and features are good. But look wise it is not great. It would have been better for the price.

This phone doesnot have TV out feature. This phone cannot be updated to android 2.3. this phone gets corrupts some time with overloading, we hav to restart the phone atleast once a day. but other features are amazing. a best smart phone with gud battery back up. map my india not working properly for this phone. we expect official android update for this phone. Camera and screen quality is little inferior to i9000. but for this price this is the best phone. i recomend everyone to buy on ebay at Rs.18349/-

[deleted post]i think galaxy s is the same as galaxy sl,, you can check on the box it said galaxy s superclear lcd and the other one is galaxy s super smoled... so come to think of it..so the update is both units...

i feel good with the music player which comes with phone, only thing missing is the en-queue option for the files to play.

About Battery:
Galaxy SL has good battery life. I disconnected it from charger(after charging full) on May 11 - 5 AM. Today its May 15 - 2 AM. It is still showing 20%.
My use was light. 1-1.2 hrs of call, 0.5 hr of video, 2-3 Hr of FM radio, 15 min Game.No GPS, No Wifi.
But even with heavy use it lasts a day or day & half.
Do not discharge it completely i.e. Don't let charging fall below 15% (Li-Ion batteries don't like it. I had laptop whose Li-Ion battery used to give 30 min backup. Twice, I had to use them till 0%. Backup got reduced to 10 Mins!)
Beside this, take care of battery as others have suggested.

galaxy sl or optimus black? both of them have d same processor...juz slight difference in ram...BUT...optimus black has LED flash while galaxy sl dun have....AND optimus black's secondary camera is 2 megapixel while sl juz 0.3 o.0
