Dear Friends, i finally have a shining new i9003 in my hands.
I had asked a few questions here pre-purchase, but perhaps none of you were kind enough to answer; too busy trying to prove yourselves, anyways,lets move on.
I bought it yesterday for Rs. 19,200/- from a local store at Patna.
Well there is no special mention about the GORILLA GLASS anywhere on the box, so probably its not there, but still, the glass is really good and has a smooth touch.
The BATTERY is actually disappointing, it drains really fast, just 7 -8 hours for me, although i charged it completely (5hrs).
GAMES are a breeze on this monster, i have played HOMERUN BATTLE 3D, ANGRY BIRDS, NINJUMP e.t.c. Really smooth transitions and NO LAG AT ALL.
The BENCHMARK QUADRANT score for me was 835.
The UI is very nice and intuitive.
The CAMERA is very good for a 5MP,without flash.
Total MEMORY is 4 GB, divided between phone memory and user available memory.
User available RAM is 478MB (total RAM is 512MB, user is left with 478MB because the hardware and software take their shares of the RAM too), which is decent and very close to todays standard.
Phone SPEAKER volume is a little low but not disappointing, the HEADPHONES are really nice and have good effects, plus you have 5.1 channel sound!
NETWORK and RECEPTION have been good for me, no call drops e.t.c.
WEB-BROWSER works like a charm too.

Can someone suggest good case for this phone.
Most shops have case for galaxy s and not galaxy sl.
can someone tell me the shops in Mumbai/Pune where the galaxy sl case can be bought

ya it does have a really poor battery back up..how much does it stand for u?....i m disaponted as samsung claimed a lot.

beware all
this phone has very very poor battery performnance
samsung care will not take care about ths issue

Does this phone has 3G video Calls support???....I heard android phones does not support 3G video calls and support video calls over fring appliction only.

Dear I9003 users,
I am terribly confused whether to buy I9003 or nokia N8, i decided for i9003 but the retailer recommened n8 saying there are a lots of complaint on battery life of i9003, also he said there is usb in N8 where a pen drive can be attached but not on i9003, is this true? would be a g8 help if anyone can guide me on this. i have been waiting for months to buy the right mobile and i certainly dont want to buy a wrong one after this wait. pl answer its urgent

when i open the manage application and uninstall an app d manage applications force closes
any workaround??

guys i ve been using this phone frm around 2 weeks...its a gr8 one..i put in loads f app but still doesnt lag...though d battery is not gr8..but reasonable f an android phone..i ve frnds used i9000...i belive it has a gr8 screen and preprocessor but ulitmatly with having everything gr8 2 it lags a lot..were as i9003 doesn't..i advice ppl go for i9003..it a new 1 as well as gr8.

i wanna ask about SGS I9003 compare to I9000, which one would be better? their price range is rather big. so i was asking about opinions of which should i buy? im quite confused about these two. im just looking forward to the apps and the long lasting of the screen( dont want it to be blur after a long time).

I will suggest not to buy this phone from lets buy, their services are very poor. I placed an order with them in the 17th or march still haven't gotten the product. They have poor logistics as well my destination was pune they shipped my product to bangalore, have been just wasting money calling them.

guys i cleared it all up officialy........yesterday i called my uncle who is working as production engineer in samsung at Samsung Town, Seoul, South Korea.....and he said that they have not produced SGS i9000 since september 2010......
so i guess varun is true and sadly the SGS now being sold are refurbished ones......
