disappointed a bit bout this phone coz it doesn't have flash light for convenience purpose...

AnonD-4503, 23 Mar 2011Has any one ever dropped your galaxy sl on the floor....? d... moreI have dropped in 3 times from a height of 4 feet and all the time it went screen first to the floor. but not even a single scratch on the screen, except for the steel rim on the side which has a couple of scratches. I have to admit that its awesomely build.

I have been using this phone for the last 10-12 days,
everything is excellent except the battery life.
today when I connected the phone to Samsung KIES, it showed that a new firmware is available for the phone so I downloded that. it was smooth but after downloading the software completely suddenly a pop up showed that "can not convert to upgrade mode". Repeated the entire process but again the same result. can anyone help me with this?

[deleted post]It is an OLD phone. Samsung no longer manufactures the i9000. This has been confirmed by Samsung, and they have told me that Samsung dealers are now selling refurbished products, which have been updated using kies.

hi guyz..could somebody who already has this phone CONFIRMED if there really is TV-OUT FUNCTION???? im getting so confuse and upset bcoz i want this phone badly,but if there is no such function i rather settle for other mobile available here in UAE..PLS GUYZ HELP!!

Hi I intend to buy this phone, but have a query.
I intend to keep a lot of music files in Galaxy SL.If I store them on the external memory card,will the music be recognised properly by the music player like it does for internal memory.

Nexus s is avail in india via flipkart for 27999INR but has SLCD only.... I dunno why samsung is providing this amount of grace to indians by increasing the price but still giving low spec phone.

Here as per Lets Buy (Official Samsung Online Retailer), the color brown has become very speculative Because some say
that rim is of copper like colour instead of steel/nickel which comes with matt finished back cover
Some say...back cover is dotted matt black and only the side rim is brown.. Some others like the one in Samsung HK Site say its full brown....
Seriously we dont have any consistent feedback regarding this. If any one has a concrete answer abt the Color of Samsung Galaxy SL Brown it will be great... Thanks...

When you buy a brown set through online or from a retailer, please make sure it is available in your country and covered under warranty.
We dont see brown in india, but some retailers are selling it .

Hongkong has brown, if they are taking from HK and selling in india it will not have warranty.

I have SL i9003 and using it for around 3 weeks.
1. Excellent Performance, Screen is fantastic brighter than SAMOLED Galaxy S. (AMOLED will make a difference while watching movie and snaps as colors will be slightly vibrant).
2. Browsing with Android browser on par and many times faster than iphone 3GS, Browser is so smooth.
3. Battery - Normal usage 2 days , heavy usage 1 to
1.5 days.
4. While uninstalling apps, most of the times application manager crashes but don't see it has a big deal.
5. Tv-OUT and USB on the Go present in the OMAP chip check this link

hi all, I'm from Indonesia n have been using i9003 from Mar 16th. So far, the thing that disappointed me was the battery life. It only last about 10 hours on normal use and the charging takes about 5 hours. also the device needs an unlimited data plan due to the data connection that always takes place every time. If I turn off the data connection, it will be useless to choose this phone and can't get connected every time. Unlike the Nokia E71 that I used earlier that the battery can last for at least 3 days on normal use and 2 days on heavy use.
But still it is a great phone to have!!! The camera is awesome. the screen is great. and i never regret my decision on choosing it.

Has any one ever dropped your galaxy sl on the floor....? did it broke or did the glass got scratched , please advice about built quality of galaxy sl.
Also let me know whether Dotted Brown panel is better or gloss black is better.

hey could anyone tell me which is a better phone between C7 and 9003 in terms of camera, voice clarity while making calls, and in in terms of battery life, my regular use will be for 50 to 60 mins of call , listening to music (for a short period of time) and using the camera!!!
