I bought the Galaxy ACE and not the SL, coz:
1) Ace is easier to hold -- 3.5"; 4" is too big
2) Ace is affordable -- Ace costs 1,350 dh, but SL costs 1,999 dh
3) The screen is gorilla glass -- very strong
4) the cpu is 800 mhz already, and comes with froyo android 2.2 and the latest Touchwiz UI
5) The best reason: ONLY THE GALAXY ACE HAS CAMERA FLASH. Flash is very important, and all galaxy phones including S and SL have no camera flash. Without flash, camera is useless at night. BTW, the ACE's 5mp camera is very good :-)

Why you did not came to this forum before buying the phone ??? Its always good to do a decent research before buying any such items..

TAX: Those who are in Gujarat, Maharastra (any other?) states have to pay "octroi charges" (some additional tax that buyer has to pay to the local govt./ muncipality) for online purchase; its mentioned in few ebay listings. Better you can get shipped to any friends/ relatives to a nearby city; any way there is no such charges here in Bangalroe. - By the way the I9003 ROCK!!

orded the phone on letsbuy... moreUpdate: The folks at letsbuy.com resolved the issue of octroi with the courier company by today evening, but said that it will get redelivered by monday...however, upon repeated insistence, got it delivered at 9 PM today without me having to pay anything more than Rs 18431...so yesss, I have my phone with me now..:D...in hindsight, i guess I overreacted..esp since they were very well behaved as well:(
Comparing the display with my Wave1,the S-AMOLED blacks are much deeper than the S-LCD's and the colors are also more natural..however, the difference is noticeable only when the two dispays are put side by side...standalone, the S-LCD performs very well...
Also got the Brown-black version...which is better than the only black version's back panel...the back panel of Brown-black is non-glossy, dotted and complete black and only the rim is metallic brown...in my view, it is much better than the glossy black back panel...

I have brought Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL last Saturday. it is awesome phone @ this price.. but i had strange experience with this phone, it started heating up when WIFI or G3 connection is enabled. it heats up very fast during calls (less than 5mins) if WIFI or 3G is enabled.
Any one facing similar problem ...
