There is a bug either with the gingerbread version or may be some application. A constant touch on screen as required say during a game or screen keyboard back key (to delete a long sentence or msg) does not work. Ve to lift finger and put it back again. Power cycling the phone removes the issue temporarily.

Hi friends!!! am using this phone from last 3 months the phone is supperb no dought about it..
The only problem is how should i install app to eternal memory card (transcend 8gb)..
and the second one is how should i root it???
recently i u updated it to 2.3 I9003XXKPM works well no problem what so ever...
pls give me suggestions on root & external install...

guyz i got this phone a month back..
Good points abt d phone- very sexy look.. way better than neo v or galaxy ace..
Amazing resolution and screen.. way better than other phones.
Bad points- the phone captures perfect images bt absence of flash makes u feel bad wen u try clicking in dark..
2) sound speaker and music speaker isnt gud at all.. speaker doesnt support bass enhancement etc..
but yes the phone is amazing in terms of luks n video quality.. clarity.. i preferred it at first sight bt i wish it cud have a flash which i miss d most

Does d phn saves evrythng in its internal memory...
External memory card cnt b set as default..??
Mre ovr evn if u transfer nythng frm bluetooth..it goes to d internal memory..i hav to move it into memory card..cnt it go directly to memory card..

The battert backup is not bad. Mine is running in friyo. It stands 6hrs talktime/ 4hrs google map/ 5 hrs videos or games / 10 hrs audio songs. The power consumption in standby mode is 1% in 2 hrs . ie. 12-15% per day in standby mode.
Thereis no use in blamming this model without knowing the technics of using android phones.
As an average user (ie. 10-15 calls, an hr browsing, playing songs and movies for an hr per day), the battery lasts easily for two days.
Its one of the best sets in this price range in all aspects except sound quality.
I have been using this set for the last six months and absolutely happy with its performance.

Previously it stayed below under galaxy s i9000 with 850 points . Now after ginger bread update i9003 has 1155 points and stays far above i9000. Which means ginger bread boosted performance buy giving very good support to the hardware.

I guess GSM arena should remove Upgradable to Android 2.3 from their OS section for this phone. I got this phone after reading that it was upgradable to 2.3 but Samsung so far has not provided any Upgrade to 2.3 and Im not holding my breath for that.
with 2.2 Froyo on board my battery drains within 10-12 hrs without much usage, I am really disappointed with Samsung for this phone and they way I see, they are not going to release any updates for ACE either.
I am an Indian. So all the comments are related to Indian release, I dont know the story else where. Can anyone who has used this particular model about their battery usage etc.
PS: from day one I've kept the phone on 0 brightness, no unecessary services running in background and I am not using EDGE/3G/WiFi(during the 12 hrs of usage). Just calls n Text.

Hi Guys this post is for all who are experiencing problem with WiFi after GB Update.
To resolve this WiFi issue, just disable DHCP in your router Settings and assign STATIC IP ADDRESS to your mobile.
If anybody have issues I am ready to help.
Now WiFi issue also fixed guys with Static IP address.

After updating to GB,
1) GPS is working fine, previously it use to take atleast 2 minutest for better GPS lock. Now withing seconds...
2) After updating to GB WiFi not working. For every 40-50 seconds, wifi will disconnect.
3) After updating to GB, battery backup looks good only till battery percentage reaches 50%. After that it will drastically discharge. Dont know why...
4) Voice calarity during Call is same upto my knowledge. Lets others tell their experience on this.

Since upgrading to Gingerbread 2.3.5 the phone has become a pain. It resets by itself after few hours and I have lost all my data many times. If Wi-Fi is ON, it resets every one hour and I need to restore my settings, contacts and everything.
I have tried all sorts of tips given on the websites, but the problem still persists. With Froyo the problem of switching off while charging with Wi-Fi on but now its painful.

Yes definitely this is aw... moreI'm using it for just more than a month.
My phone is working perfect. No problems whatsoever.
Sound is not an ISSUE in this phone.
I have already stated, sound is a bit low but still above average.
Sorry, I have no idea about Galaxy W launch.
