Steps to update successfully
1.Check if you have latest version of kies.
2.If not, then don't upgrade from kies itself.There is an error installing the new samsung driver.
3.Un-install Current old version.
4.Download & install latest version of kies from here
http://www.filehorse.com/download-samsung-kies/
5.Follow the instructions for firmware upgrade and do not remove the usb cable while upgrading. Also make sure you have a stable network connection.No need for factory reset.
Works like a charm
1.Ram increased to 625 mb
2.Games and apps work faster
3.Zoom in camera...n lots more to discover

Updated my phone to jb last night its awesome. ...apart from slight jitters while scrolling....its snappy,smooth, I recommend it.

Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (JellyBean) update for the Samsung Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) in India. The Galaxy S2 got the Jelly Bean update in India earlier this month. The phone saw a huge price drop to Rs. 14,500 in India last month. Samsung announced the list of devices that would get the Android Jelly Bean update back in back in September 2012 .
The Jelly Bean update would bring faster performance with project butter, new Nature UX similar to the Galaxy S3 , 2 Homescreen modes, Google Now service, contextual search, Better notifications, Direct Call, Smart Stay, Pop-up play, and lots more features.
The Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy S Advance is available OTA (Over the Air) and also via Samsung Kies. You can check for the update manually from the Settings, About, Software update.

Just updated to JB through Kies...Super fast than Gingerbread...so smooth, no lag..no hang till now...Thanks Samsung..feel like i have a new phone...:)

Yes, it can handle JB. Actually after JB update, u wont get any new features like smart stay,multiwindows etc., But its pretty understandable 'cause this is a mid range device.
Audio quality is decent. I love the 5.1 audio option in stock video player.
Camera quality could have been better. Low light images capture a lot of noise. But its OK for 5 MP.

you can convert all apps to .apk using some app from play store and then copy all apks to comp. then after reset install all a[ks to phone again
