After you flash this one you will immediately receive an update of around 9 mb size, which makes your firmware from Z to Q4, which is the latest one. Q4 still hangs a bit on video streaming and camera and my advice to you that better you root your device, install CWM and then install JellyMOD 4.0, its awesome with no hanging issue and more free ram. Don't be afraid about root or your warranty, whenever you want you can again reflash russian version and root access will be reversed and you can claim your warranty.

I have downloaded and installed the russian jb update through Odin.
For the arabic lang....... you can read, write and edit your arabic staff . But the phone menus can't be in arabic only to one of lang are pre installed with room and the russian does not contain arabic for menus..... no root required for the update .. just do a factory reset after install to get your gsm network work.

My kies also notified me there's a firmware update...but cant update due to bad internet connection...i wish its a Jelly Bean....

Finally after so much research and comparisons I bought S Advance, and I must say this is an amazing device.
Some key features are like it has very smooth UI and very crisp display, It has more than 300 MB RAM free all the time and have 2GB memory for installing apps and have 11.31 GB storage for data.
As like others I was also in so much dilemma to go with which phone as my shortlisted phones were
1: Desire X
2: Xperi Sola
3: S Advance
4: LG L9
Though Later I dropped the LG L9 cojz I was not able to extend my budget 3k more.
So when I compared the other three ( S Advance,Xperi Sola, Desire X) the S Advance appeared as the clear winner coz when compared with Xperia Sola though the GPU and Chipset were same but Xperia Sola was lacking the Front cam, had smaller screen, low Ram , low internal memory, low battery as compared to the S Advance so I dropped Sola.
Then I compared it with Desire X though they had some similarities like Same Ram size, same screen size but the chipset and GPU and even CPU (two core A5) was inferior as compared to S Advance, and also Desire x was lacking the front camera and had poor video recording resolution 480p as compared to 720p of S Advance, and had low internal memory, Thanx to the huge 16 GB internal memory of S Advance.
The only thing where Desire X was winning was on OS Front coz it was running the latest jellybean while S Advance was still stuck on gingerbread but it was not an issue as JellyBean update for S Advance is also on the cards and hopefully it will be updated. So the wise choice was to go with S Advance rather than to go with the similarly priced but inferior devices..
I hope my this review will help the prospective buyers

wats d major diff. betwn. s advance & s3 mini??? y s d price of s3 mini mor dan s advance??? bth hv almst same specifications though. n terms of price i feel s advance s way beter as cmpared 2 s3 mini with almst d same specs.

[deleted post]Can't comment on that Sanjay coz I've not updated my mobile to jellybean yet, I'm waiting for the official release, I think the hanging problem which u r facing might be due to the custom ROM or U've installed the Russian firmware which has got some issues.
