samsung is such a tease, why dont they just launch JB for this model already, all we kept getting is unofficial teasers, I bought this phone relying on the promise of a JB update,

hi i have been upgrade my galaxy s advance to android jelly bean... huhu this phone is perfect but after i upgrade it just slow a bit maybe it still new.. huhu...

Lost hope of getting JB in India. Unfortunately will have to throw this phone. Samsung is a cheater. It is just intrested in selling out new phones but not able to satisfy old customers. So i wl never buy an samsung product in my life again. Definately we should go in consumer forum for this thing.

I dont know, Why samsung made Galaxy S Advance with Gingerbread in 2012. When Jelly Bean in India? Shame Samsung.

definitely go for it, if ICS is not your priority coz no other phone in market in its price bracket can defeat it in terms of goodies it offers you (4" Super Amoled screen, 768 RAM, Cortex A9 processor, 1.3MP Front cam.. Amazing phone and if it got JellyBean update then it will become the toppper in mid budget..

Handset is all good with the GB. I guess it's just the additional looks and experience that will be added to the JB. Anyways, I'll just wait for it. -jas

Guys, would you recommend buying this phone in India, the chances for an official JB update is low? If so would it be worth it paying this money for a 2.3 device?? Please tell me fast as Im in urgent need of a new phone

I dont think samsung is updating it any soon,talking about it here is waste, we must ask at their FB page, or report it to consumer court

I also got a fragmented video while playing HFR avi video like Brit.avi... Anyways bro download BS player free from play store (it is optimized for Armv7).if the BS player u tried is from play store, then go to preferences>playback preferences> decoding mode>HW decoding mode(BS player engine). Then u can play 1080p with HW acceleration. And mine's working perfect.

to taste Jelly Bean in near future on
our S Advance, as I wrote to the
Samsung Coustomer support and they
replied me in this way "We thank you for taking time for

AnonD-88124, 18 Mar 2013No Arnel, BS player can handle 1080p videos very well (with... moreHello Harry;....Tried playing 720p@48, 60fps, 1080p@30,48,60fps..BS Player is just a piece of s***, Audio is broken...video plays in broken fragments, no Sync at all in videos...Instead MX Player did the job very well with negligible lag.****Also when you play 1080p video in BS-Player "SW" decoder is selected by default. Anyways..playing a 1080p video on a 4" screen with a WVGA resolution is no better than playing a 720p video on a screen of same resolution. Just a wastage of Pixels, unless you have a true FHD screen like the one in S4, hTC One...etc

I am using BS player only for playing 1080p videos
rest of the files are playing with MX

In such cases, Just apply Pinch to zoom in BS player. Then you can see video as well...

Because we had a debate the last time some one said this and we found out it was indeed the SW decoder who actually did the job and was no better than MX Player..Since you are so confident, I will check it today and will let you know...Thnks for suggestion...:D
