I am from india. I had network issues with Gingerbread. After i updated to XXLQ4, there is no network problem. Camera zoom also there. Battery charge lasts longer. If u face any lags while playing games, flash the thunderzap kernel 4.1 Then install Bravia engine 2. All these can be found in the xda site.

I didn't face any lagging or network issues in this phone till 7 months of use. I also activated GPRS plan of Rs.54 and I got a decent speed in this phone.. If this phone had zoom option in cam It will be the perfect one.

Hi... I am new to android and s advance is my first smartphone. Bought it a month back. Must say it is a great phone. I wanted to know what exactly are ota updates and do i need to install them?? I currently have os 2.3.6 ddlk2.

hello guys...using sgsa from long time....with gingerbread it was working smoothly...no problem at all....just recently i upgraded it to 4.1 (jellybean) n now it sucks....network issue...phone gets hanged n also problem playing wit hd video.......damn......anyways think twice to upgrade it.....from Mumbai

i have s advance . over all its functioning is ok. but i was in hurry to buy a phne. so commited to dis. but guys go for s2 or grand. these r like elders brothrs of s advance

Poor network/data qua... moreI dont feel any kind of issues that this guy said.
Only cons is no zoom option in Camera and JB update
SGSA has good battery backup.(I got 2 days backup for normal use and less than 1 day for heavy use).
Good call Quality(in call voice is good.No need to keep the phone closer to ear.)
Even S3 dont have dedicated cam button.
and awesome display and phone's design is good.

Is flashing russian jb using odin totally safe on my 16gb model? If something goes wrong during the update process,will my phone get bricked?And after the update,is the phone lag free???How much free ram is available(out of 625mb) post update?? Please reply.

Good screen resolution

Indian telcom providers aren't still upto the mark to provide even 2G services till date. Although this could be an issue, phone does take some more time to reconnect DATA in conjusted networks.
