Hi,
Impatient to wait for my region update I've updated my phone via ODIN to JB russien frameware yesterday (the latest one from January).
I was scared at first: If anything goes wrong. But every thing worked just fine for me, the update via ODIN toks me just 10 min :)
PS:
- I have a phone locked to vodaphone carier (Spain). A professional unlocked it for me on GB - And guess what ? the phone still unlocked after the update :)
- The JB OS seems very stable, no lags or whatever.

Performance is like a 600 Mhz single core phone. Dont buy! Ive already wasted my money. Im selling this and gonna buy some other device within a months time.

ritom, 20 Feb 2013i am planning to buy this smartphone. Guys plz suggest me i... moreDont. Im using this device since 8 months. Currently on russian jelly bean. This phone keeps lagging. I really doubt if its really dual core. HD games lag and HD videos freeze the phone. My 20k waste!
Only good thing about this phone is the display is amazing its the best display possible. But the lags will irritate you. Imagine your phone going black again n again even when it is factory reseted!
And yes this is a known issue, the network antenna is extremely poor. You will lose network and you sometimes have to restart to gain the network. If not then it takes 5 minutes to regain. This happens every few minutes. Overall a shit device and samsung is lazy in updates. It din even gave me a replacement for the known antenna issue and spoilt usb.
I suggest u go for some other brand with atleast 1.2 ghz dual core and 1 gb ram and a good gpu.
For eg : Sony Xperia, Nokia Lumia 820,920 etc.
If your fine with an indian brand then go for Micromax A116 Canvas HD. Its a quad core phone at 14k and my friend has it it works pretty well. HD games n videos work flawless and the performance has no complains. Only problem is u never know the quality of these brands!

Guys, does the Indian version have Gorilla Glass in it? I thought it had, but today I noticed two small scratches in bright sunlight. I could feel the scratches when I place my finger near it.

Guys, stop blaming Samsung. Just for one moment think positive.
May be Samsung is working on the update to avoid bugs.
If Sony & other companies got better service nd provide better updates, then who asked u to buy Samsung!! So, just be patient.
Nd even if you do status updates like I am angry, I am frustrated...etc., on this forum like facebook, it is of no use.
I am not a fan of Samsung. I am also frustrated with the update. But all i wanna say is make this forum useful

AnonD-73267, 19 Feb 2013o really nice bt u have extended warranty for what ? to aga... morepank'spoo...it was a complimentary 2+ yr extension, which I chose to be on a safer side. Anyways warranty is not meant for people like you who try to get all out of none...:P..and I KNOW flashing does not void the warranty, hence I did it.
