so wen u wipe the data/factory reset, u lose all ur contacts, ur messages, ur apps.
its better to wipe data b4 and after flashing bcoz its better to do a clean install.. i mean if u wipe b4 flashing the os its better.. atleast thts wat the developers used to say for custom rom. its upto u then.

As many other people says ut wud be arriving this late march.. im also from phil and flash my device with russian firmware wih odin and works perfectly fine. If u like then u can update it just download the appropiate files. Ask dean coz he us yhe very active person on this section lol... he seems to have so much knowledge on this.

(11 gb for intrnl spce) and (2gb rom,which we cnt see,and its 4 os aloctn memry ri8? )so which 2gb do we get loos maintain plz, Apart 4m cntcts and masaging bkup what bckup i need to do b4 flashing my device.. Did wiping cache den fctory reset frm rcvry mode will erase my instld apps which were instld in gb too?or it will erase only 2gb rom ? Xda says nt to clear cache if phne is nt rootd,only hv to do fctry reset . . .so am asking will f reset 4m rcvry mode aftr upgrdin to jb, erase my cntct ? ,msgs , and installd apps?

and do not have to enable mock location.
in odin, dont touch anything. the two options will b already ticked. all u got to do is connect device. wait for it to show up. click on pda, select ur file and flash.

in recovery wipe both cache and data b4 and after flashing.
if u plan on doing a factory reset thru the settings in the phone, do not select erase usb storage.
and compressed jelly bean file is 300-450mb.. depends on the type of compression.
the extraction file is 750mb or something.
and using 16gb phone, i dono if the method to go back to gb is tested, but i advice u not to try for now. ill let u know if they succeed

@ dean : why do we need app restore and backup ? if my internal storage did not wipe even after flashing jb in our pone and after doing restore factory and clearing cache ,,,,,,it did not wipe my internal storage or anything file in my internal storage along with dos apk which we store to install again..in that case we only loose our installed app which installed on our 2gb app stoarge ,,,then why did we use app restore and backup ,can u elaborate please brother …or it will restore installation of dos app in 2gb after applying new firmwere which is swithced gingerbread to jelly bean ? please help..i did not understand here a little bit,,i did sms and cntct backup…and another qestion can you give me the link of official gingerbread ddlk link so i can revert back to gb anytime if i dont like jeely bean for 16gb indian verson… qs : after extracting that firmwere file (xxlpy) via 7zip will it take more dan 700 data? evryone said it will more than 400 but it shows more dan 700 mb…a frnd was upadtin so he says that,,he were following n found mre dan 700 mb after xtrcting…cant we extract these file (xxlpy) using winzip or winrar softwere? qs : during odin conect my device n says added in odin directory, bfore chosing pda ( firmwere file .tar) if i disconnect my device will it brick my phone? in odin only f reset and auto reboot chechkd right? do we need to enble moock location? and please can u tell me which wipe my 2gb app installation apks? ether its 1. reovery modes reset factory or 2 . wipe cache help asap …. thanks,,, regards :-)
