AnonD-52321, 19 Jan 2013i want to upgrade samsung galaxy s advance to jb plz plzzzz... more>first of all make sure u have samsung drivers installed.
>download odin3 v3.07 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738841
>download jb firmware from http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-I9070&pcode=SER&os=1&type=1#firmware
>now do a factory reset(erase usb storage too)
>turn off the phone, and boot into recovery. (press and hold volume up+home+power key)
>now wipe data and wipe cache.
>do not reboot, just remove the battery and put it back in.
>now boot into download mode(press and hold volume down+home+power key)
>press volume up key when prompted.
>now on ur pc, make sure all components of kies are off
>extract the firmware file(downloaded from sammobile.com) to get .md5 file.
>run odin.
>click on pda and select the above mentioned .md5 file.
>now connect your device to ur comp.
>odin shud recognize ur device and the box will turn blue.
>now click start and wait for the process to finish.
>when it says pass in odin, disconnect your phone.
>turn it off and boot into recovery.
>wipe cache and data again.
>reboot the phone..
ur all set to use jelly bean now..

for all those who still facing lags with jb..
>u got to do a factory reset from within the phone(format the usb storage too).
>go to stock recovery and wipe data and wipe cache.
>now flash jb using odin3 v3.07
>now again go to stock recovery and wipe data and wipe cache.
i got no lags watsoever after this. temple run subway surfers, and all the HD games run widout any lags..

i have galaxy s advance a... moreu cant update ur cell using kies or ota, bcoz the update is released only in russia as of now.
u got to download the jb file from sammobile.com
and use odin to flash tht file to ur mobile.

i have galaxy s advance and running 2.3 ginger bread.
so i wants to upgrade it to JB.. i tried it many times.. but i coudn't find the way to upgrade it.. my baseband version is- i9070DXLD1
