my sgs advance don't have any network problem after I change network to WCDMA only. it's great.

Samsung is making indian fool .the specification shows that it support HSPA mode but the phone actually has Wcdma mode ,SEE THE box and the network mode ,wcdma is lot slower than hspa .pls clear me about wcdma as shown in phone network setting and hsdpa and hsupa as given in the box for the network

S Advance is best.After one week,S Advance will get a minor update.That update will solve network issue.
Network issues had only old S advance phones.New phones have no problems...
Go and purchase dudes.....

You have to choose your network whether GSM or WCDMA under Settings - Wireless and Networks - Mobile Networks - Network Mode. Do not choose Auto mode.

Network drops immediately after a call ... moreSame network proble here..reading all posts about this issue is discouraging me from even checking with the after sales service since they won't be able to figure out any solution..!DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE unless you have perfect network coverage or an update is released from Samsung to solve this issue

guru, 30 Aug 2012battery life is very lowI own s advance for more then 4 months. No problem at all; nice look, very good features. The signal issue it is up to the network provider. Buy with confidence.

It's a best mid range phone. ICS update is expected soon but has kept low by samsung because of ongoing tussle with half eaten apple.

I own an s advance. Network drops immediately after a call creating a lot of nuisance. Also it fails to capture the network especially after you come out of a low/zero network place like an elevator. I had given it to the local service center and they have confirmed that they have received a lot of similar complaints for this particular model. Would recommend anyone considering this model to hold on till this issue is resolved.
PS: As of yesterday no update to ICS was available for this model.
