This phone NETWORK is weak. Sometimes it cant search ur network. It takes VERY LONG TIME on searching network. Sometimes changing gsm/wcdma/automode will causing No Connection. Only ways to get back connection is RESTART your phone. Not sure whether is Phone or OS problem.

Its been a month that ive got this device..though..but once my phone was idle however with the EDGE active...later when i checked the phone it was not responding..to any touch tap..had to restart it...no issues with the battery back up you cant expect 1500mah battery to last for more than 48 hours...not tested for HD games..(may be not compatible)...this is what Android Market says that the device is not compatible...who cares..!!!I am not a hard core gamer...best thing is plays HD videos flawlessly...without dropping even a single frame or bit...camera shutter lags a bit about 1.5 sec....Browsing is extremely smooth.....doesnt have any network issues..Wifi is lightening fast...extremely responsive capacitive button sensors on the front...and the assistive flash can give u blind eye in broad day light...so overall rating would be 8/10....a very good high end midrange phone...only flaw would be that samsung will NOT provide AN ICS UPDATE.....at least for a coming one year...

there are reasons why your battery is draining fast, you will have to download apps in google play to try and resolve the issues.
task killer and manager- download it and set the auto kill option and frequency to ensure that apps are turned off,as some third party apps might still be running even if its not in the history or background, this will not only optimize the performance of your phone but save you battery aswell.
also, download battery saver apps, most are free..this helps in saving your battery life..and remember to lower down the brightness settings, it contributes to faster battery drain.
for hanging/freezing issues, just make sure you have cache cleaners installed in your phone, always clear the cache 2x a day to free app caches as this contributes to the phone lags. memory booster apps are of big help as you can boost up your phone's performance, you can even set it on auto boost every 3-6 hours.
fast reboot app can come in handy as this gives your phone a boost but also kills apps..
you can try all of these, to optimize your phone's performance.
we have an s2 and a one x and these apps are quite helpful, it doesnt matter if you have a single, dual or quad core phone..once you don't have the right maintenence apps, you will always get problems..
and always powercycle your device thrice a week, this isalways advisable for smartphones whether android or blackberry..

camera zoom- have you guys tried lowering the megapixel in the camera settings? as with other phones, the zoom will not work if it is set in the highiest mega pixel setting.
picture zoom- have you tried browsing the settngs?the multi touch or pinch to zoom option might be turned off. browse thru the manual carefully and look-up the features and options, it will be impossible that these features will be missing from this model as the s1 is capable of doing these, and just to point out..the i900-i9003 are the predecessors.

Camera zoom FX app is available in google play store. But it is paid app.
You can download it for free from the link given below..
http://androidmarketguru.blogspot.in/2012/03/camera-zoom-fx-android-apk-free.html
You can zoom the cam using this app and even set custom buttons for zooming..eg.volume up/down.. And it will allow shutter sound on or off...
Enjoy....
