i've used really really much both the s advance and the s3 mini and have to say that s advance's display is a bit better, colors are a tad punchier and the blacks blacker... i don't know how they do it... it's supposed to be an evolution and screen wise galaxy s > s advance > s3 mini as far as screens are concerned...

Yes. After I updated my s advanced from orginal 2.3.6(not shure) to 4.1.2(through Samsung Kies) it started litel bit laggy.!
I don't know what to do now. I have 2 options.
1. Sell this fu***** phone and buy another phone or
2. wait till 4.2.2 update and hope this is better.
Any opinion.?
P.S I'm from North Europe.

hi friends i am using samsung galaxy s advance from past 3 months it was really a gud phone for a normal use and it is not a phone for hard gaming but it handles a normal usage of surfing calling messaging and little gaming i purchased this phone on flipkart at only 12500 with 8gb class10 memory card so i think it is the best price for a nice mobile.if u need any help regarding this phone email me sandy.sandeepkumar.bs@gmail.com

AnonD-21567, 17 Nov 2013ur absolutely right ..!! my old canvas 2 is 100 times fast... morehi friend b4 buying xperia m know these things ... xperia m has ly 1.8 gb internal memory n apps cannot b moved to sd card ... it has below average camera n display ... only advantage is it has latest processor n 1 gb ram n good battery backup ... but low internal memory is a big prob ... from my xperience i am telling friend don't ever buy a mob with even single disadvantage ... better wait for motorola Moto G n buy tat ..

I tried some CM jellybean versions ..but each ROM have minor issues... how can we downgrade it to outdated gingerbread ?? will sell this crap after few days .. thinking to buy Xperia M

AnonD-21567, 14 Nov 2013yes .. its running smoothly ..just flash on DDULP8 firmwa... morethank u so much bro ... let me wait for CM based on 4.4 ... because i feel 4.3 will b heavy for this mob and also 4.4 is well optimized for lower memory devices na ... and also i have few more months to end my warranty so i am afraid of rooting now ... so i planned to wait for official 4.4 update from samsung ... if they didn't provide then i will go with CM based on 4.4 ... by tat time my warranty also will b over ... :)

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2013BAD NEWS galaxy s advance will not get any official kikat u... moredriver is available with samsung thats why they have updated to 4.1.2 from 2.3.6 with new karnel. so driver is not a issue may be hardware type could be a issue. but a single core processor can run 4.4 so that will not be a big issue for it. lets hope for the best. this phone requires a stable update from oem.
