goku, 22 Jun 2013it will not suppot full hd .it supports 1280*720 Hi Goku, SGSA also support Full HD (1920 * 1080) videos using BS Player(No stock player) in Ginger Bread. You can download that player from Play store for free.

Even tried various custom kernels. It's pretty much the same. Some made games run slightly better, but still a bit lag on NFS MW for example, while on GB none. Other problems, lags and delays remained the same.
I've tried XXLQB and XXLQE firmwares. Same. Not 100% sure if others are any better, but from reading comments on facebook, xda, youtube and here, it seems like almost everyone is having such problems.
But then some people (minority) come and say it works smooth but haven't seen any proofs of that nor elaboration.
And I'd like to add that custom ROMs for our device, that can be found on xda, are not really better than stock JB either. Even those that are somewhat faster have bugs listed there, as well as some negative comments so I didn't even bother with those.
My conclusion is that maybe, just maybe something can be improved by installing some scripts or mods but it's just too risky and complicated, require too much time and I don't want to risk bricking my phone. Of course all those custom things require root which voids your warranty. Although I highly doubt such things would help anyway.

Did you restore factory settings amd cleared cache before and after the update? Did you disable google now as they mentioned? Does the problem prevail even after doing these things. Please reply. I expect a honest answer.

As 75% of the opinions here aren't satisfied with Jelly Bean, and 25% are satisfied, so please for those who satisfied please mention these details :
1. Jelly Bean baseband version
2. The way to update, whether trough Kies, OTA, or Samsung Service Center. If through Service Center where is the location?

AnonD-158001, 22 Jun 2013Can I update my S Advance from GB to JB 4.1.2? Very confuse... moreThe thing is, degrading to GB is a bit complicated. And once you start to like the appearance of JB, GB will seem even worse.
JB has the looks and some cool features, but what's the point if it's not smooth? Even some basic things lag, like timer sound, lag when switching between applications and home screen, browsing through settings, occasional lag when recording videos...
Not to mention fps drops in games.
Then there are issues like quieter (maxed) alarm sound, delay 3 secs when opening dialer, messages, contacts, music player, gallery.
Aren't some of the main points of JB speed and butter smoothness after all?
Unless they release faster JB I'm definitely going to roll back to GB (didn't yet cause I don't use my phone much on summer).

Can I update my S Advance from GB to JB 4.1.2? Very confused after reading all your reviews on this site. I was waiting to update it for almost a week. Now disappointed after reading your reviews. If its really laggy and irritating, I will not update it. Please suggest me as soon as possible.

But this phone can't fully support all those games, so to speak. For example, Dead Trigger lags even on low settings on Gingerbread.

Is that true that Samsung will give us a stable version of JB, I'm using AMD1 version now but it is still unstable and it will lag or hang sometimes . Hope your news is true !
