AnonD-85989, 15 Feb 2015official kitkat...??? link plz...there is no official kitkat neither 4.3 for this phone.you have to stay on 4.1.2 it is very nice you can play san andreas and easy to root it whith shaan root.or install cm11 it is very smooth no lag but wifi maybe will lost.becarful.

Internet signal most of the time in s advance is very weak but when I open Ucbrowser and then open
any other app I get it

updated to kitkat 4.4.2. Believe me its super fast just like gingerbread 2.3.6. I know its difficult to believe but ya its super fast.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2015what kitkat update u took Samsung has not released kit kat update for galaxy s advance. However we can update to custom rom that is cyanogen mod 11(Kit kat 4.4.4). I have installed it and it runs very smooth.How to do it you can go to youtube where step by step instructions are given.

As far as the performance is concerned its Ok. but my phone wifif doesnt work. didnt get any updates as well. Pissed off planning to buy a new phone now.

Hanging is probably a feature of this phone. Always hangs but doesn't die :(
Needs around 5 recharges per day so am always carrying a power bank with me. A worst phone from Samsung. Not a great camera, comes without zoom. Apps do not perform well with this set.
