Sun, 31 Mar 2011First of all....Apple number one??? Since when??? Nokia is ... moreMy post actually said 'number one player', but you did respond accurately as Nokia has the most smartphones out there. It is just we have news reports when an iphone is launched.
So my opinion is this which they might not want to hear
Samsungs strategy will be to announce a date when they know what the IP5 specs are (as no specs for IP5 there is no forum for them either just IP4). Entering the market 2nd is the best commercial strategy.
There are some in both camps who won't commit until BOTH phones & specs prices are known, would not buy SGS II even it it were announced today. Apple have had it good so far.. People queueing to get the latest model.
Now my prediction of what samsung will do with this monster is this:-
IP5 specs price announced
SGS price announced.
lets assume that the monster that is the SGSII specs come in way over IP5.
Some IP5 Applytes may decide to become Galaxians ergo those are the ones who would have queued IP5 decide to queue instead for the SGS II. all of a sudden the biggest launch in town is for the SGS II. samsung strategy is to take market share and column inches away from Apple.
It would not even surprise me if the did the own mini launch of the SGS II, just to say "I'M BACK"
YOU ONLY ENTER THE MARKET ONLY WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE UP AGAINST.
You may have similar dates when both the IP5 and the SGS II is launched just due to logistics because Apple may not want to give Samsung too much time to react. Expect the SGS II later! than sooner. That is my belief SAMSUNG WANT TO CONVERT AS MANY APPLYTES INTO GALAXIANS.
I may be 100% right or 100% wrong. more wronger than when Icarus said to himself "mega view for up here can't wait to tell the guys what they are missing".
Icarus if he had lived would have been famous for another thing BIRDS EYE. Frozen food is for another arena supermarket.

I've just been into a Phones 4 U and been told by the manager that the UK release date is May 1st across all retailers, with Phones 4 U getting it a week earlier as an exclusive.

This phone is better. Im using i9000 ilove it. But i think next version of sgs coming better than i9000 graphics. But unfortunetley they use mali400 arm's grphics core. Iphone4 use sgx535. I9000use sgx540 ithink next i9100s use sgx543mp2 cor. But they use mali400. Ipad2 use sgx543mp2 core itz better than mali becouse itz 5x faster than mali. But this time ipad 2 is winner from the battle. Ithink next iphone 4gs or 5 use that a5 processor.

samsung going to release 1.4 ghz processor for galaxy i9001.
will it be equal to dual core proceser ?
Samsung glaxy s2 Vs Galxy i9001 ?
main difference is RAM galxy s2 has 1GB but i9001 has only 512 ?

Samsung is going to release 1.4 processor for galaxy i9001.
will it be equal to Dual core processor ?
samsung galaxy s2 Vs samsung i9001 ?
but main differance is RAM 1GB Vs 512MB

yes its horrible....
if they cant give then there is no point to launch the divise in MWC in Spain early this early....
It maybe some Business tactics or what they thinking....but whatever it is ,,its horrible to see treat the customer like this,who selects the Samsung Galaxy S as the best phone for the past year.
All the remaining companies keep their word,except the great SAMSUNG..
The fact is in the coming year( MWC) , no body
should hear what samsung going to produce or released,
Dont think that you can keep the diplomacy all the time..
Previously it was Nokia, now Samsung next maybe Motorola or Sony Ericcson,,,,
So show some respect to the customers,, its all they,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!

AnonD-367, 01 Apr 2011hope they not change to Q3 It's very likely that they will as it will be competing with the iPhone 5. Samsung's strategy is to release it with the iPhone 5 with a cheaper price, similar to what they did with the iPad2 and Galaxy Tab.

When this phone is going to be launched in India any specific period or time frame.We as the consumers are waiting like hell but no communication from the side of Samsung. Samsung please have some courtesy and let us know when the phone will be available in the market. If you don't have any plans to launch the phone even in the Q2 then please specify this is not the way to keep the consumer's keep waiting.

I hate how Samsung keeps fabricating new phones and let people who want the galaxy SII wait for this long. I'm waiting since begin February and it doesn't even has an release date (official) The network @who I have my phone Subscription Said that it will be released in April.
