Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Samsung u win.....

[deleted post]Nokia is dying a slow & painful death, live with it.

Right nw they're busy fire-fighting their own platform, developer, customer, very sad indeed.

This phone (SGS2)has beefy specs & will be a huge success,

Samsung & LG are heating up the competition,& they're takin over Nokia's number 1 post, whether u like it or not.

How many PPI does the display of the Samsung Galaxy S II have?

Is it MORE than 326 ppi of the 3.5" Apple iPhone Retina display?

AnonD-570, 23 Feb 2011symbi is not that bad mate.its just that android is better ... moreHey ab,

              how are you?

I see your point regarding the battery in android.

I had similar issues, but I don't see a big deal anymore, why? I can charge it almost anywhere, at work I put it on charge, in my car in charge and at home.

I only have issue when I am traveling, then I can't charge it, so my phone should be fully charged in advance.

I have tried to get rid of my n97 after getting the x10 sony, but couldn't. Tried again after getting the bb torch and still can't. I ended up using 3 phones which I really don't need.

Sorry, this is not a phone, not a smartphone, not a tablet ! it's a combination of all of them, but none of them; 4,3" is too big to care it with you every day, battery will last 1 day, the screen is too small if you want to spend reading documentation ...etc ...
Yes, it incorporates everything, but it should have limit to a decent 3" inches, already tooo big, you can use it to play tennis table, and already too thin, what is the purpose of being so thin, battery is required for a decent use to last 2-3 days as for regular use !
Design has nothing special, remember HTC Desire ?! it really has a nice design, this one is so ...

In reference to 4.3 inches being to big. I deal wih larger equipment than that on an everyday basis and I have no problems :)----3

AnonD-1319, 23 Feb 2011it's the opposite of that i don't realy know what things yo... moresymbi is not that bad mate.its just that android is better !!! but thers one department where symbi does beat any android hands down..."battery backup" !!!

no matter how tempting might android looks but at the end of it if u cant use it for even one day without being scared of battery dyin8 on u...B4 u get back home from work...whats the pont !!!

i had moto milestone,galaxy-I and dell streak but after using N8(my only second nokia device after N-gage !!!)i can surely compare the battery life of symbi and android...and i assure u i have never seen a smartphone like N8...surviving almost 3 days of heavy to madr8 use !!!

i bet...no android can do that.but then again if u leave this battery point aside android is way ahead than symbi in every department !!!

at the end of it...all comes to ur need rather than whos better and whos not,ri8...cheers :-)

The problem in USA are your local networks.
As you have branded variants of the galaxy S, Don't wait for support from samsung but from your local network.
The original galaxy S had a good support not perfect thoough), it's on 2.2.1 since a long time and according to some rumors it will receive the 2.3 soon.

Next time , buy an unbranded phone and you'll get all the updates in time :)

briadz, 22 Feb 2011Just an observation: Samsung phones are getting bigger and ... moreIt is not only Samsung, but even others are going for bigger size. Since we now use our phone for browsing/mail/watching movies/GPS etc, the bigger size make sense too. Here is a comparison and you will see hardly any difference among brands:

                                      Samsung Galaxy s II : 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm

                                      Motorola Atrix 4G : 117.8 x 63.5 x 10.1 mm

                                      LG Optimus 3D : 128.8 x 68 x 11.9 mm

                                      Sony Ericsson Arc : 125 x 63 x 8.7 mm

                                      HTC Incredible S : 120 x 64 x 11.7 mm
