i think overall these are good improvements by samsung to the successor of galaxy s. It could have been much better if it had bigger screen resoulution and may be a 12 mp camera. But still i love this phone and i will buy it when it came to india. Becoz i m using galaxy s right now and S AMOLED is just incredible and S2 have SAMOLED PLUS. So it is realy sound exiting.

I have Galaxy S and thinking to swithc to Galaxy SII.
Overall experience with Galaxy S is ok but I still have problems synchronizing via Kies. My questions are the following:
Is it possible to synchronize:
calendar from MS Outlook?
notes from MS Outlook?
tasks from MS Outlook?
contacts from MS Outlook?
favorites from Internet Explorer?
certain files and folders?
...
or do I have to wait for Nokia with WP7?

You can as well buy GalaxyS Micro-USB to HDMI - no problem!

going to pass on this one,, 4.3 Super AMOLED Plus display? and yet the same 480x800 as the 1st gen galaxy s,, that means the ppi (pixels per inch) will be LESS, so will the display be less sharp than the sgs1?

Also @ anonymous and "anandtech" SGII is 16GB onboard memory & quadband HSPA and 118g(helium filled?) the 2x is 8gb and dual band and 139g

So, just to make sure. This is using the Tegra CPU, right ?
What do you think, is the LG Optimus 3D's performance essentially better, or is the difference negligeble compared to this phone ?

Alex, 15 Feb 2011nice phone overall, BUT would if kill them if they would ha... morewhy would they put hdmi when there is DLNA? samsung is going forward not backwards. Upgrade your TV or buy an DLNA adapter. Even better, buy an older phone to go with your old tv.

in anandtech the benchmark shows that in some points the LG Optimus 2x has an adv. but i think this one is much reliable

im using the galaxy s and i had problems with samsung's support. they suck at releasing updates. but they make good hardware though.

They have copied what already is a beautiful design, yet have created a smartphone so powerful, so compatible, so packed with features, yet so user-friendly, that the only thing iPhones have going for them are a really nice design.
Samsung are now the first to create a phone that excels in both looks and specs.
Well done Samsung!
