rondroid, 01 Apr 2013i think, that, your kies should be the latest version dude..Dear rondroid......i checked and my kies software is latest only..... my S2 is made in Vietnam and my Bro brought it from Oman...pls help,,,,,thanks in advance

ICS is the best to stay on. Don't upgrade to JB on the s2, i've had a few problems. The GPS on ICS actually pinpoints where i am in my house within 10-20 metres, on JB it's like a 1.5 kms although outside JB was pretty accurate. That's only minor here's the next 2 problems.
My phone just suddenly froze randomly out of nowhere when playing a game or typing so I either had to wait 5 mins or take out the battery to get it working. Last problem is randonly I had discolouration. Weird colours replaced the normal ones and I had to restart to get it back to normal, it happened 2 or 3 times. So JB is a little faster i've noticed but 4.0.4 is probably the best rom to stay on.

But even if your screen rotation is on and the screen does not rotate there is something wrong....

Today i bought S2, but auto rotate function is not at all working.. I rebooted t mobile, did calibration, removed battery nd sim nd rebooted.. there s no change ...
If i upgrade the gingerbread to JB.. will this issue be resolved..? wat can be done? as i bought this mobile thru my friend abroad, no warranty in india.. please give me some solutions?

hi guys,
Just uploaded the France JB update (dated 28th March) onto the international version of S2 (I9100) and it seems pretty improved than the others, battery is qute stable... will post after i fiddle with it a bit more... fingers crossed

gb, 31 Mar 2013I got updated to jb last nov...I'm also from India Hey dude!Can you please tell me your state and city?What is the size of the update?I am from Guntur,Andhra Pradesh.I did not get any update details from kies and OTA.Consulted nearest Samsung service center.They donot know about the update release.But they say it will definitely get updated and update started all over the countries.I got my piece out of the box with 4.0.4.Could you tell me the firmware version of urs?
