i cannot connect to my college wifi on galaxy s2. it connects perfectly at my home wifi. when i enter PEAP and the phase 2 authentication as MSCHAPV2 enter my user name and password the wifi says connecting ... scanning .... disconnected. college has 802.1xEAP. college IT people cannot solve it as they use iphone and not samsung. any solution to it ??? my phone is not routed and running on OS2.3.4

You can get 6.0 via CM13. But there is a slight problem in some as the phone's internal memory reserved is a bit low for both CM13 and Google apps which you need to download seperately. Make sure you partition your drives then proceed. I installed CM13 but did not install Google apps. Will do it soon . Cheers !

I love galaxy s2 2011 2016 years best samsung smartphone in samsung and world kamera sound display all very nice

Not that I expect anybody to buy one new these days but i just want to say...
I have had mine since August 2011 and apart from updating Gingerbread 2.3 to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 about a year ago and adding a 16GB card, it's as new, perfect working order and condition (but I have it in a flip case).
As they say "if it ain't broke don't fix it"...
Great phone - Nuff said!

I did a whole factory reset with data wipe and the problem is gone. Moreover my battery life was not satisfactory because battery was already bloated. Replaced my battery recently, rooted the device (that too recently) and now running the cyanogen mod 13 marshmallow. This phone doesn't seem to give up. Well if its making a lot of problem, i would suggest you buying a new phone. Cheers !

It overheats front and back, battery drops from 57 to 17 in a matter of seconds, I have a handful of applications because the rest of them I had to delete because it had no space in the RAM memory, I don't have Facebook, I can't have any other app on it, it freezes whenever it likes to do so and I have to remove it's battery, one whole day it did not open although it was 100% charged and it kept showing the Samsung logo, making the sound like it would open, and then show the logo again... Seriously, does your S2 still work perfectly in March 2016? It means I had a bad one. Please respond! Thank you! P.S. I tried to go to a repair center with it several times and they said there's nothing they can do. It is too old.
