AnonD-22351, 06 Dec 2012One more thing S II and other users... My brother got it fr... morePhones do get manufactured in Vietnam and doesn't make difference in quality...so dont worry. It still an original S II.. Make sure u get a bill or receipt incase of warranty

Secondly how to come back to stock ROM presently mine is 4.0.3..???
Thirdly why mine is not showing any update means many are telling latest official one is 4.0.4 and Im from Bangalore INDIA and Im having latest kies software installed on my laptop. Pls help me. As Im new to this. Thanks in advance.

And for the official updates from samsung, just flash stock 4.0.4 ICS depending on your region. And update via kies when official update is out.. I did it myself and i also reverted back to stock ics without any root and yes my phone is still having its warranty

My Galaxy S2 at the tender old age of 14 months decided to completely stop working. I bought it from Mobcity with the standard warranty of 12 months, (so Samusng Australia wont apply ther 2 yeaer warranty). The repair shop advises that the motherboard has burnt out (fried itself was the technical term). Cost to repair $280 approx. I have heasrd for others that the S2 has problems with this issue.
Has anyone else had similar issues with the S2?
Is there a fault in the S2?

so i have to therting my s2 and get connected internet access
now if i thert my s2 the pc will not detect s2 then how it will show updates reply plz

I suppose when android 4.1 update for
samsung galaxy s II and it may be
slower due to the smaller size of the
core.

Does galaxy s2's production is stopped by samsung?
or it is still in production?
1 more ques does it lags sometimes on typing msgs or not?

My phone hasn't crashed/lagged/restarted for 400hrs now. I really recommend you to flash JB on your phone. Just to make it clear, that when you flash the leaked firmware you don't need to root your phone. To flash find a video on youtube :)

yes 4.0.4 is released quite a long time back.als... moreDear James..... Im also from Bangalore-INDIA, my S2 version is 4.0.3 but when i connect my phone to my laptop i saw some firmware upgrade alert but i tried many times but got error. you can view my previous posts for details.
One more thing from last two days when i connect my S2 to laptop its not connecting and some error is coming, why so. please help me in this regards. IM HAVING LATEST KIES VERSION. Thanks in advance

yes 4.0.4 is released quite a long time back.also if you have kies software installed on your pc..just connect usb cable to ur mobile with pc..open kies and it should detect automatially if update is available or not..
