I am from the Philippines, and I have been using GSII for 15 months now. I recently upgraded my phone's firmware version to 4.0.4 (Baseband I9100DXLPB) via KIES. Now, I am planning to finally root my phone and install JB in it. I understood very well the rooting procedure that you posted here. I would just like to ask if the files found in those link are also applicable to my unit. Actually, I have already downloaded all four files: Odin, CF-Root kernel, google apps and JB Resurrection Remix ROM. My concern now would be whether the CF root kernel that you posted is applicable for my unit and firmware version. If not, could you help me find a stable and compatible CF root kernel with CWM for my device? It will be my first time to root my phone, and I don't want to brick it.
My other question is this. If I am successful in rooting my phone and installing the JB RR rom, but let's say, after months of using it I decide to replace it with an update ROM or a new one, how do it replace it?

with the new update how much long can the device last while listening to music? (taking into account that you have the device at 50% brightness that is)

koko, 02 Nov 2012My Sgs2 get really hot on the upper side (at the camera) wh... moreIt's Normal and usually nothing happens but it could make the phone a bit laggy bcz of the high temp. but no worries
try to stop playing while on battery bcz the battery gets hot plus the modem (in the same place of the cam) gets hot.
the latest ICS update made it less inconvenient but the cpu used here is the reason where the Cortex A9 is famous with his high temp.

As long as it doesn't catch fire we're in the clear. ;)

Best phone i have ever bought. No need to have anything with you , just carry this phone with you. Super processor, best camera in class, best memory. Completely satisfied with the performance of this phone. Earlier had galaxy ace but it lagged a lot. This pone doesn't lag anywhere even when the live wallpaper is running in the background. 4.5/5 stars.
