Hey friends... can any one tell me when will the JB upgrade 4.1.2 will be coming to india on Samsung Galaxy S2... I am just fed up of ics....

How To Root + CWM Flash Galaxy SII GT-i9100 Running ICS 4.0.4 Instructions:

DOWNLOAD Odin3v1.85: http://stockroms.net/file/Tools/ODIN/Odin3v185.zip
DOWNLOAD CF-Root Kernel: http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyS2/kernels/ICS/CFRoot
1. Extract the CF-Root Kernel to get the CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LQ5-v5.6-CWM5.tar file.
We recommend extracting it to a convenient location, such as your Desktop.
2. Turn off your phone.
3. Put the Galaxy S2 in Download Mode. You can do this by pressing and holding down
the Volume Down key, Home button, and Power button together. When a “Warning!”
screen will come up, press the Volume Up key to enter Download Mode.
4. Double-click on Odin3 v1.85.exe to launch it.
5. In Odin, click on the PDA button. Navigate to where the CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LQ5-v5.6-CWM5.tar
file is and select it. Do not make any other changes to Odin. Make sure thatRe-partition is NOT checked.
6. Connect your phone to your computer. You should see an “Added!” message in Odin’s lower left message box.
If you don’t get this message, there may be something wrong with your USB drivers.
Make sure that you’ve properly installed them.
7. Hit the START button in Odin to begin flashing the CF-Root Kernel.
8. When flashing is complete, your phone will automatically reboot. When you see the Samsung logo,
you can safely disconnect your phone. On the Odin window, you’ll also see a PASS message with
a green background in the upper leftmost box.
9. If Odin gets stuck and doesn’t seem to be responding, or if you receive a FAIL message,
close Odin, remove and reinsert the phone’s batter, and start over from step 3.
Congratulations! Your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 running Android ICS 4.0.4 has
now been ROOTED and has ClockworkMod Recovery.. Enjoy your root privileges!!

Any recommendation about ways to reduce the loss of battery?my phone reduce 15% in 1 and half hour without opening any apps,wifi and so on..is that normal?

Guys.. I'm planning to buy s2.. but nw a bit confused. is it worth buy s2 bcoz i came to know about the following problems
1. yellow tint in display.
2. display problem in cold or old temperature
3. yellow tint while taking photos of white surfaces
4. amoled led plus screen give many problem and have shorter lifespan(the reason why samsung had came back to amoled led in s3( not sure, may be wrong))Help me friends

2 days ago I had an attempt to upgrade my firmware since the kies was showing that a new one was available.Firstly i thought it was JB but later checked the version and found it to be 4.0.4. The normal upgrade procedure is far beyond complicated. first it downloads the firmware fully, then starts installing which always stuck up at nearly 30%. next thing it did(after the whole night using high speed 1MBPS wi-fi)was asking to pull off the usb cable, take out the battery then reconnect it again. upon doing that i had been left with an option to go through an emergency recovery. the EM recovery somehow manages to hold up whole downloaded firmware data but mess it up as soon as it comes to installing. I did these routines nearly 3 times that day with no luck until 4th time when it takes up a long time and succeeds. But i had been in so much pressure that it cant be expressed in words as i bought it through a bank loan of 57,000 taka. moreover the warranty period was over already, if i would take it to the store the end result could be devastating. Now some of the guys here in the forum claiming that they succeeded upgrading sgs2 to 4.1.2-JB using a different method other than kies that involves rooting or sth like that. can any of my bro here demonstrate how I can upgrade my phone to 4.1.2 in a hassle-free-manner. in return i can only offer some thanx in advance.......

normally gs2 better phone dan all...but according to ur requirement i suggest u gs advance,i can also give u 2 more option dat is galaxy s plus and sl... over all s plus and s advance is better dan sl but it will full fill ur requirement...galaxy s plus and galaxy sl bettery is better dan galaxy advance... rest it wont b more different

After that it takes ti... moreThe battery capacity for like 99% of the users in here are the same becouse almost everyone uses the original 1650 mAh battery, for the few ones using the 2000 mAh battery the charging time only take about 30 min longer atleast if you're running a better rom like the RR v.3.1.0 JB 4.1.2.. (I know because i'm using the 2000 mAh)
The main factor of long charging time is the Samsung stock rom and for some the stock rom ICS from Samsung also causes a huge battery drain problem, update to RR v.3.1.0 Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and you get a fast charging phone without abnormal battery drain and other probs + your S II performance is way better than with the shitty stock rom from Samsung..
