Dont ever go for samsung s2. i am using samsung s2 GB version .daily m getting new issues . Hang..corrupted display and major issue is not able to go inside main menu after switch on. Need to restart 5~6 time to make it work also need to apply inteligence to go inside menu.. So pls pls go for htc 1or some other better phone...

if you keep software upgrade`setting by push message on you will get notification by Samsung. I got it the same way. Hope this helps.

Bash, 04 Jun 2012My main problem in my Samsung Galaxy S2 is the battery life... moreHi, I am from Pune (INDIA) I got my S2 upgraded last saturday. Overall improvement in speed, no heating, better cpu management and better battery life has been there. You should go ahead for upgrade to ICS.

bhummer, 05 Jun 2012i have not noticed any changes due to the update. i have up... moredear,please tell us about all over this phone performance.specaily tell me about his browser user.i am interne user.Now have useing Nokia N900.on his browser have adobe flash player9.4 version.& perform excelant which i want speedy browsing ,online streaming audio & vedios like flash news tvs cricket and other vedios on internet run smoothly in window. i stasfied but his big weight & small screen.so i change & want same like n900 browser performer.so please tell about galaxy s2 browser in useing internet view.Share experince With me, do pdrfome ssme or not reply in detail & also His Camera & vedio camera performance Thanks in advance...

i got this phone yesterday from a friend who bought it last month. it's a good phone, the only problem is the battery life. if you bought it sometime these recent months it's already in ice cream sandwich.

go to service center and update ur phone with ics...
its gr8 update for s2 and there is no problem at all.
so update ur s2 and enjoy.

AnonD-54772, 04 Jun 2012hey am from india.. i didnt get any update of 10mb thru OTA... morei have not noticed any changes due to the update. i have updated only 2 days ago. note that i did not receive any notification about availability of update. i just checked for and found it. i am in india only but using nepal firmware.

To solve the app problem If you press and hold power and volume down (at least on most android devices) it pulls up the stock boot menu and you can go into fastboot and that will prevent it from starting your apps during startup

I updated the firmware to ICS version 4.0.3 through kies in India about 3 days back.I find some improvement in the functioning of phone. Certainly no negative effects after update in relation to gingerbread.
