ics is already available in new zealand. i have upgraded my phone already via kies. just download kies on my pc. connected using usb and followed the easy steps. wham! im on ics now.

HELP!
So this is my first time rooting, I tried rooting my phone and it was successful.
Now, I tried installing custom rom which is MIUI 2.3.11.
It says that it installed completely but when i tried to reboot it stays on the MI (xiaomi logo).
Did I missed something??
Thanks! and can anyone give me a good link on how to flash miui rom on my s2. Tnx Again
And is it possible that the rom is a bad download? Now I'm trying to redownload the rom.

I have tried to post an opinion, but for some reason, it was not displayed, so, I will try again! I am from South Africa and want to warn prospective users to STAY AWAY from this phone/KIES combination! Our IT dept. struggled for nearly two days to get CONNECTED via KIES and we set up every combination (different laptops, different brands and even desktops), yet, no luck to sync my contacts and calender AT ALL.
My DELL at home, managed, after the 3rd time, to sync, but not all was not done 100%. Thereafter, it also gave up with KIES...!!!
I phoned our SAMSUNG Help Center just to be told that they are aware that there IS A PROBLEM with KIES and that they can do NOTHING for me!!! How can the Q&A Dept of the mighty SAMSUNG release such a disaster to the good paying customers out there, without testing it properly first???
I was looking forward to this handset for such a long time after the hype, only to have it resting in its original packaging waiting for maybe one day...!

1. For battery getting hot. Possibility that Battery is not fitted properly. Even a hair thin space can create a problem. Remove battery and put it back again and then charge. This might work.
2. Programs running at the back. Check for Virus. As all phones run on softwares and there is possibility of Virus.
