Still there are only few phones which are eligible to compete with Galaxy S2. We can't consider it as a older phone because of its hardware and software configuration. This phone is getting ICS and as per some techincal gues from samsung, its also compatible to Android 5.0 which is not going to launch before a year.
So buddy go for it..i am sure you will love it..

Yes this is definitely the phone to have. Overall great performane. However what really sucks in smart phones and specially in this Galxy S2 is the battery. If you use all of it, there is no way the battery will last a day and that is dissapointing. I am considering to change to the new Xperia S or HTC one X, any suggestions.

bhummer, 02 May 2012i have flashed stock ics on my s2, but now i dont see the a... moreu might have turned one the Quick Control, u try to tab the edge on the left or right, it will appear the tools, or simply turn off the Quick Control in the Setting -> Labs

after updating my SGS 2 to ICS, it's really great with its performance, and some changes. :)

Our s2 is almost a year old but some comments,they compare either one x,xperia s..haha thats how the s2 is much more powerfull ..sigh ,s3 is coming so i think s2 should take a vacation right now:D y'all buy s2 .!!no problem with the ics .still good and android gives you options ..lots of option !!

I got the ice cream sandwich update last week (T-Mobile) and although it does have some good features the phone does not work so good now. Before the update it worked faultlessly, but since the update the phone screen response is sporadic as times. The contacts menu is not as good as before and I have experienced other random problems. I would gladly go back to gingerbread.
Have others found ICS buggy or is it just me?

ICS upgrade today in Australia (vodafone V), so smooth a quicker than gingerbread, will test battery over next few days.

Hahahah buy this phone then you will understand how better this phone is the application is running with very high speed and the web sit is opening very fast best Wireless card it has and much more, i buy with high price Iphone 4s but i am not stasfied with it but this is the best phone.

Should i wait for HTC One S in India or pick up Galaxy S2.
My only concern with S2 is that it being an year old phone, might not get future updates officially after ICS.
One S on the other hand would be eligible for future upgrades considering how HTC treats their products.
Any suggestions?

My S2 started to heat up - like yours- so I immediately took it back to samsung for inspection. Warranty should take care of its fixing. Now my S2 works fine (for now). I think you should do the same and take urs back for warranty repair without delay. You didn't pay your hard earned money to get and keep using a defective phone I'm sure. Waste no time!
