AnonD-252, 26 Mar 2012I definetly know how to install ICS on my phone, and it wou... moreBe patient....This is not final update of Samsung..ICS is not released worldwide..I had galaxy ace (on froyo)..gingerbread(2.3.3) released with so many bugs in Europe...but it wasn't released in Asia... In Asia they directly release 2.3.6 ...& update was excellent..So be happy with GB for now...They will have stable update soon..(maybe for Asia!!!!)

I recently upgraded my Galaxy S2 to ICS 4.0.3 (Indian Firmware)
Its working very fine and cool. Evrything is better than 2.3.6

It's actually difficult to exchange honest opinions with all these fanboys creating white noise around a phone I suppose we all have.
Actually, most of the fanboys around here seem to be imature sales people or idle idiots who do nothing but praise the phone as if it were the 8th wonder... Most of them haven't even purchased this phone (otherwise, they would see things differently).
This phone has much going for it, but it is sold as a top phone; Samsung's flagship and it is VERY expensive.
Most of us are still paying it.
It is only logicalk that we demand respect and quality.
Samsung ought to have replaced thousands of faulty phone and it hasn't done so.
Are we supposed to be happy with it?
Google about the phone and you'll see literally thousands of videos demonstrating different problems and faults. That's the reality.
Are we supposed to keep silent and pretend everything's fine, when it isn't?
Fight for your rights as consumers... whatever you buy, wherever you buy!
As for you, samsung's salespeople and mindless fans... find a hobby and stop trolling these forums.

Hi All, what I did before I update my phone to 4.0.3 was the back up my messages and contact number and first uninstalled all aps, formatted my onboard memory and then flash stock 2.3.4 rom with odin and then update to LPQ with odin after I booted the phone.
After that I have been using it for 2weeks without any problems, some apps and games don't work but no crashes that I did not cause myself, meaning messing around with files. Its very vast and smooth and if you want the best out of ICS donwload Nova Launcher, it give you the closest to ICS possible. Thanks.....

Why be a blind fan and deny all the problems with this official, lpq, ICS "upgrade", are you afraid iPhone or Nokia fans will learn how bad your S2 actually is after this "upgrade"? S2 is a very expensive phone and buyers shoulds demand that Samsung properly test their official upgrades before their customers are encouraged to install it on their paid expensive phones! Samsung make good hardware inside their phones, well camera and sound-quality could be better on a this expensive phone, but their customer support have always been terrible, and software-upgrades are handled very bad where still not properly tested beta-fimwares are released as "official" "stable" releases.
Just because you atleast say you have no problems with this "upgrade" does not change the fact that very many less fanatic Samsung-fans have very many big problems with this, lpq, "upgrade"!
And what did Samsung-ICS really give us that we did not already have before, a different way to close recently used apps and a different, but not really much better, stock browser, and stereo, but reversed, recording in vidoecamera? ICS is still Android, so it is not a completely new OS, not iOS or Tizen or..., so there should not be any reason for these many backward incompatibility problems with apps and games for Android!

If ICS is officially released in ur area, just go to Samsung and tell them to reinstall it because clearly u r not capable to do so. But pls stop *itching in this column abt ur horrible experiences, u'r getting because of ur own fault!!

Definitely a bad update. I did factory reset before I upgrade it to ICS, but problems still occur. If I run HD games, it will suddenly crash. After awhile, the TW Launcher will also crash. They better fix this, whoever is responsible. We don't pay a hard-earned money for this. We deserve something better.

I just bought Samsung Galaxy SII two days ago. May be I'm too early to post about it. But from 2 days experience its the best phone anyone can go for.The Camera, battery life is just too awesome. I wud sincerely suggest people to go for this.
