I bought new S2 but it's Maps not working.. anyone can suggest me what to do... should i reinstall from the market???

I ... moreif you have synced your apps using google sync, you can reinstall your paid apps again without paying again. free apps will have to be installed again from market. you can try backing up your phone using kies before updating or updating using kies itself.

Samsung has to work on few things to be leader in the smartphone market.
1st: Sound quality as its not upto the mark if we compare with Sony and Apple. So Samsung has to work on its sound technology.
2nd: Lookwise its not as appealing as other smartphones like apple, sony.
3rd: The build quality is also not so impressive as compared to other phone.
So if the SGS-III will be coming with 2Ghz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM and 12MP camera as per the rumour, it will be the winner of 2012.

dush, 23 Jan 2012is the sound quality that bad? Plus how do you check on the... morephone is good overall. the phone itself isnt hard. just think of it as an iphone with widgets. camera is superb if you see the reviews just need good settings. doesnt have any glitches but i hacked my phone so it is smoother and better interface. sound quality is awesome with or without headset. very loud and clear and can be louder is sound boost on android marker( paid app) video quality is also good very clear and stands out compared to lcd screens

Hi, If you want to update your phones firmware try this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 It has a full guide of flashing via odin and download links. I have flashed my phone with different firmwares from all regions with no problems.

I dont know but the phone came up with a new problem...da color display has an yellowish effect...I m confused. Day after day da phone is cummimg up with a new problem... Please help... I got this phone from my hard earned money...How can I get back the original background color of my phone.....

I am from India and seeking for Update to android 2.3.6. I visited samsung service centre and they said all data will be removed including apps and they have no provision to backup of apps as ANDROID LACKS in this. Is that so? Will backups available in android market will be sufficient for apps backups. Nokia and iphone have apps backup option. Why not samsung?

Phone gets over heated often. The also gets switched off automatically at times. ---> Usually smartphone get warm because it's how we hold it. that's one of the reason why the get warm. 2nd is, because smartphone are like PC it has hardware components/circuit. ex.Processor - the same concept on PC, if the processor get over heated and reach it's maximum temp system will automatically restart to cool down so system won't get fry.

is the sound quality that bad? Plus how do you check on the software version, never used samsung, but specs seem to pull me for it. Picture n video quality good? Im from kenya

Writing this from a sgs2, side by side wit my nokia n9. Been browsing gsmarena on both now. its bad. the sgs2 has a terrible blue tint on the screen and both sgs2 and n9 are pixelated compared to lcd and slcd phones. amoled is bad on all cellfones but worst on sgs2.

beware beware india! samsung cheating brutally... bought gs2 but it turned out 9100G instead of 9100 model. and somehow begged and got it replaced mine from croma. was shocked to see out of 3 boxes all turned out the ti omap version 9001g. samsung selling 9100 models in 9100g boxes also.... beware and check thouroughly. this is a total shock. also this lower version gs2 9100g is being sold at higher price even when its not exynos.
