        Why an Inferior Galaxy SII I9100G at the same price as SII 19100 ? Galaxy SII I9100G is inferior to SII I9100,

        1) Inferior PowerVR SGX540 Vs better Mali400 GPU
        2) Lower 3G data rates supported
        SII I9100G -> 7.2 Mbps HSDPA; 2 Mbps HSUPA
        - same as in older Nexus S (single core GPU)
        SII I9100 -> 21 Mbps HSDPA; 5.76 Mbps HSUPA
        - Quad core GPU
        3) Lesser Operating frequency options
        SII I9100G -> GSM - 900, 1800; UMTS - 2100
        SII I9100 -> GSM - 850, 900, 1800, 1900; UMTS - 2100
        (It means I9100G can't use while travelling out of India)
        4) Different CPUs
        SII I9100G -> OMAP 4430
        SII I9100 -> Exynos 4210

        5) Finally, though I can't be sure, different internals targeted at low-end markets like India and Malaysia might mean that the software updates might be delayed or not available WRT I9100. (Similar to the Galaxy S LCD Vs Galaxy S)

        Samsung seems to be pushing an inferior I9100G compared to I9100 to "third world" countries under the very popular SII branding. That too at the same price as I9100!!! Quiet insulting.

        I'm a regular customer of Flipkart. I came here to buy a SII and was shocked to find that only I9100G version of Galaxy SII is available.

        I know Flipkart can't do anything about Samsung's decision to treat Indian market as a gullible dumping ground (even if we are willing to pay the market price, often more than other countries). Feeling frustrated. I wonder when Indian consumer will be given equal respect.
        Rather than buying a inferior I9100G SII I'd rather pay much less for Galaxy R or rather hunt around for the *real Galaxy SII* before it vanishes from Indian market.

            According to the information I gathered there are two version of Galaxy SII in India.
            One is GT-I9100 and GT-I9100G,
            Bother are with almost same specifications but GT-I9100G version is a down graded version of GT-I9100, G version is supposed to sell at lesser cost but merchants are making money by selling G version in place of the GT-I9100.
            If you want to buy the most successful model then buy GT-I9100 or else don’t buy the G version at high cost.
            Gt-I9100 is released with 2.3.3 android version and now it is upgradeable to2.3.6
            But GT-I9100G is released with 2.3.4 and no updates are available.
            To tell the fact G Version is not fast as the original one.
            Its graphics engine is less.
            So be careful while buying and do justice for your hard earned money..
            To tell the fact the company itself is cheating the customers by keeping the same model number on box and keeping different version of phones…

            I brought the phone but returned it back..

            I don’t like Samsung nor its plastic body not its user interface but I brought this phone for super amoled plus screen and the hard ware it has but the G version made me to return..

            Now I am planning to buy HTC sensation XE

                              Hi All,

                              Please Help...

                              Bought my S2 in Oct. Everything is fine except the bugging Voice Command app.

                              When ever I press home key (middle one) the Samsung Disclaimer comes up rather than going to Home Screen as desired. Looks like this app had hijacked main function of Home Key :-)

                              I have Forced Stop and cleared data many a times. But on home key press it pops up time and again, which is quite bugging.

                              Also it being default app, i cant uninstall it.

                              Help me to get off with this Voice Command... atleast clear it off from my home key's main function.

                              Thanks

As long as data is working the phone has nothing to do with it. If it's through a Vpn talk to your technical team. If it's through a personal exchange you have to make sure your send and receive exchange is 100% correct, it's very hard to nail sometimes. I usually just check carrier and email provider mobile settings on google and just bugger around with smtp port settings because they can be pretty bogus depending on who your depending on for outgoing server

                                      only video call using internet like skype only works.. , which is really bad..
                                      even java phones like samsung monte can be used for doing video call without internet usage on 3g network..
                                      this defect of s2 is really making me sad & heartbroken..

This happens to prevent your ears from selecting endcall function. If those don't work...TAKE IT BACK!
