I know you had ... moreI easily get a full day of heavy use, but "only" 4 hours and 26 minutes of extremely heavy use when streaming Flash 11 HD movies. With "normal" use I get more than 2 full days.

gs2 fan, 06 Jan 2012why do you want to root this? rooting is for the advance u... moreI rooted because I wanted to install/use "AdFree Android", that removes all ads from adsupported apps and games, and it also removes all adds when browsing on the Internet using any browser. DroidWall is a firewall that needs root, and I use Titanium Backup to backup my apps and games..., and I also use Chainfire 3D to play games made for Tegra 2 games.

Anonymous, 06 Jan 2012don't root ur phone.. u will loose phone's warranty.. u m... moreIt is almost impossible to brick S2 because of the "download mode", I have actually not heard of anyone truly bricking their S2! You can get the warranty back by installing an official stock firmware and use a USB-jigg to reset the "custom binary counter"!

yesterday only i bought S2. i am facing strange problem. i can browse the internet websites. but my android application which consumes data is not working. it say " this application requires working data connection "
i am using vodafone and m from gujarat. i asked customer care they dont see any prob from their side.
i dont know what to do ? pls help

rooting is for the advance users
the phone as it is works and performs perfectly fine!
so don't just follow everyone, find a reason for doing so, and if you need it at all.

so do you now getting the 2 days performance?
also would like to ask, does the phone holding feels better or worse? I am just not sure if I change to 2000ma battery how I would fit my MESH CASE back!! as its a perfect fit, and I haven't seen a MESH case design for the new back case!
any idea please

I really don't see how samsung is going to make better phone than this, there is nothing which match the overal performance of this phone for at least a year to come!

how are you ? how is your case? hope you had a good break.
as someone else suggested, just try to update via your phone, but connect to wifi first, that should work. by default you should have the 2.3.4 and not 2.3.3 if you in UK!!
so I am rather surprise with that!!

Amazing phone! Far better than iPhone with it's unusable bluetooth! I transfer the files more than gigabyte via WIFI even less than 5 minutes!!!
It has quite everything you can imagine about a gadget.

u may also end up bricking ur phone..
always update ur phone at official samsung service centre.. or update urself using laptop & kies software which is supplied to u along with the phone's package..

777, 06 Jan 2012Hi guys_we all know SG2 is the King of all smartphones but ... moreHTC have a lot worse build-quality than Samsung, death-grip and unable to keep a stable 3g-connection and the screen very often completly dies after only a few months use and very short batterylife and worse sound-guality...! The metal body is partially the reason for the "death-grip" and it only makes the phone more heavy, and I think S2 with the 2000 mAh-battery made by Samsung for S2 and the backcover that comes with that battery looks a lot better than Sensation, classic "business-like" design! S2 is far better than Sensation on everything!
